Hey everyone,
Brand new to this community and with the reading so far it's been great. It's made me feel a lot less smart than I originally thought I was haha. I'm most interested in Facebook and getting started with this. I'm not too interested in the dating scene and was more into the fantasy sports scene, however I realize that might not get approved by Facebook (not quite sure of this can someone confirm?)
So while I'm looking for a niche, after reading through the introductory section by zeno which was awesome but I might have missed a couple things to begin with. In regards to building out sites is it a one page domain? Is wordpress a possibility, thus that's all I've ever used due to it's simplicity?
I thought I knew where to start, but now I believe I've confused myself. So far I can build out landing pages pretty quickly, only a little photoshop experience but I can bypass that with some connections. budget is somewhat limited but can reach into pockets if needed.
As opinions on getting back on the right path?
Thanks.

Hello and welcome to STM!
In terms of "building out sites" - is this for landing pages or something else? Generally I'd avoid using Wordpress because of speed and security concerns (plus limitations in design) but it depends what you're intending to do with it.
I'm not 100% certain of Facebook's attitude to fantasy sports (we're talking fantasy football leagues and similar, right?) but I can't see any reason they'd have a problem with them. Certainly they'll be easier to get approved than dating, which is basically banned on Facebook these days.
What's your ultimate goal?
Are you trying to make money by doing high volume CPA arbitrage on Facebook?
Or are you trying to build out a long-term site that may or may not bring in money?
And if you're doing that what makes your site different? There are a lot of fantasy sports sites out there. You've got to test this stuff before investing a lot into it - will people be willing to pay for whatever your site is offering?
I would suggest using CPA arbitrage on FB as a way to maybe fund your long-term project. But you need to learn marketing first and the best way to do that is through delving into AM. Then, once you've become really good, take those skills to your fantasy site.
The original goal was to build out a long term site that would turn into a minor player in the fantasy sport niche. Testing it out wise I'm still building content out and it's more of a resource center/experiences website (I play a lot of fantasy sports). Understandably it's highly competitive but it's something I take interest in, and do as a hobby. Testing is a definite must, I haven't thrown a ton of time into it, more slowly building it out as I have so many other things going on.
I actually joined STM for more knowledge of CPA arbitrage and Facebook advertising. I'm just not exactly sure where to get started?
