CNAME Issue with rackspace (2)
Hello,
I upload a basic business website in rackspace cloud.
I have a domain name from ovh and I switch to nsone to manage the DNS.
My root domain point to the IP serveur.
Now i want the www.domain.com to CNAME to the rackspace link.
So we have
domain.com NS nsone dns
domain.com A serveur IP adress
Now is it ok to directly point www.domain.com to the rackspace link ?
For example
www.domain.com CNAME rackspace link.
For the moment it does not work.
Did I miss something ??
First, you need to add the domain you purchased to your rackspace cloudsites in your control panel.
Second, update the DNS records (dns1 and dns2) in the domain's control panel. (Use the "suggested nameservers" provided by rackspace)
I don't change the IP or anything as these 2 steps are just enough to get the domains pointed to my cloud server.
