Is there any sense in driving mobile (non-tablet) traffic to sites like aliexpress?

Seems like the relatively small phone screen prevents comfortable browsing, entering CC information is a hassle, etc..
From my own personal experience, I've always preffered to do online shopping when near my desktop computer with a big screen.
Does anybody have experiences to the contrary?

we send some traffic on a CPL to alibaba but it's all desktop. Works pretty well

For a massive amount of people its their only access to the internet and is only growing. On some of our sites 60-70% are now mobile visits so everything we do is focused on making the best experience for them.

The conversion rate is the same for mobile/ tablet and desktop and these are traditional CPS offers where they have to input their full details so people are used to doing it.

You need to forget a lot of the "old" way of doing things are think mobile first when designing sites nowadays, then the desktop version is secondary completely opposite to what most designers and developers still do. Most work on huge 27" screens and design amazing looking sites but the actual people who view them like this is very small, most will see it on a far smaller screen.

.
Yeah, I can't influence the way aliexpress structure their mobile experience, but I've kinda got the feeling that a person that can only afford to access the internet via mobile, is not the kind of person that has a CC to buy stuff with on aliexpress. So I don't disagree on the point that the traffic is definitely there, just having strong doubts that mobile traffic coming from 5.5" (or lower) devices will convert well.

Dont think about people who can only afford one device access to the internet and that is mobile. Think about people using mobile because its eaiser for them, they do it on the train, bus, waiting in lines...

Using a pc to do online shopping is more common, but mobile usage is growing.

As for Aliexpress, the products there are kinda cheap, so even if a person only has mobile access to the internet (as mentioned) - he might be more open to the idea of ordering stuff from Aliexpress than from Amazon (for example).

Bottom line - although it still converts better on desktop, I wouldnt disregard mobile traffic for such offers.

Another thing to take into consideration is the fact that mobile devices are turning into E-wallets and that makes the process of buying stuff using the smartphones even easier.

And if we are talking about Aliexpress, than they also have deals and promotions specifically for Mobile users (as in they recognize you are a mobile user and offer a discount). Thats another angle you can work...
