I'm a Long-Time Copywriter Becoming an AM - Looking for networking, skill trade...etc

NOTE: I'm new here, if this is an inappropriate post - or the wrong section - please let me know and I'll take it down.

I just joined this forum after a client referenced me to it. I've been a full-time copywriter for over seven years and this client had asked me to ghostwrite an entire Etsy-related informational product, create the landing pages, write the sales page, and create the auto-responders, and so on. I always like to pick my clients' brains about their operations and how they started out and this particular client told me that, even though he was just starting out (coming from a very successful online poker background) his friend learned everything from this forum and made $400,000 over last summer.

What I've primarily been doing the last two years is creating entire products, sales funnels, and nurturing campaigns for product creators (like Matt Callen), coaches, infopreneurs, and super affiliates.

The reason I'm here is because I am ready to become an AM myself. I feel like I've learned a lot by simply being on the production end of client projects the last two years as an NLP-trained copywriter, and I'm ready to make the type of money I know my clients are making from the products and copy I am providing them (while I only get flat rates).

Here's my Question

While I'm working on my AM business, I'll of course still be copywriting to pay the bills and fund my campaigns. So far I've read through guides and posts here how important it is to network and train with other successful people on this forum. So, what I'm wondering is if anyone wants to do skill-trading - sort of a barter. I'll provide copywriting in exchange for advice or training and so on.

Of course, if anybody just plain wants to hire me for a campaign I'm fine with that too. Whatever I can do to get myself a little more ingrained within the community and so on.

Right now I'm kind of just reading through all the pertinent guides throughout the site, deciding on what I want to do (originally had just planned to build niche email lists and go that route, but now I see so many more options and possibilities, so I want to ensure I'm as educated as I can be before deciding on my focus).

Anyway - if anybody is interested and looking for a copywriter either for hire or to skill-trade (copywriting in exchange for knowledge, advice, training, access to webinars/training workshops) let me know.

PM for portfolio samples (I have hundreds and hundreds - just depends on what you want to see).

Also, I will most likely be going to the Bangkok meetup (as I will be in Koh Phangan, Thailand for the next six months) so I'm looking to build strong connections and maybe meet some folks in person in December.

Welcome to STM!

You've definitely joined a great community here. There's a ton of successful people on here and I definitely think this is the best place to learn A.M. as you'll find a ton of threads sharing insights, strategies and techniques on what's worked (vs. the typical IM product launch that just does an "overview" of the business model with no real substance).

I used to be a copywriter myself (only for a few months) and was pretty heavily into the whole IM stuff too. I'd say the biggest difference is that the affiliate marketing here is more focused on promoting offers through affiliate networks, which can include lead gen and pin submits. Whereas in IM, you have a lot of people creating their own info products and focus on building e-mail lists which they then monetize with huge upsells.

If you're looking to network even more, try posting this over here as well:

Also, this post was recently release and should help narrow down a niche for you:
