AMEX Gold - 50onRed

Can anyone with the AMEX Enhanced Gold confirm if you can get the 3X bonus points with 50onRed? As I understand it, you can select the "Advertising Services" category for bonus points... Which 50onRed is categorized as such.

Dr Ngo did state something along those lines. Not sure if 50onRed is in that category

Can anyone else confirm if they received the 3X bonus for other traffic sources (e.g. not Google/Bing/Yahoo)?

We get 3x points on Advertising, not 50onRed though

Hey dotcom it's for select advertisers such as Yahoo , Google and Facebook for a complete list I'd call em to find out.

Even if you call them, they'll most likely just tell you any online advertising qualifies. At least 3 reps told me the same thing.

On a related note, yahoo gives you 5x points on the chase ink (up to $50k spend though)

Yeah they don't even have a list haha... What I was told was that any company whose primary business is "advertising" qualifies... So maybe you can make a case for 50onRed.

It will all depend on what the company has setup on the merchant side, if their processing is setup as "Advertising" then it will be categorized as such and you'll get the 3x.

Is this still the case with Yahoo and Bing? I know it was about a year ago but I think they switched processing, any insight as of recently?

AMEX categorizes 50onRed as BUSINESS SERVICES - ADVERTISING SERVICES

So I would assume it would qualify for the 3X bonus, but Adamw says otherwise.

No I don't know about 50onRed, we don't advertise there so I was just speculating and assume OP meant they didn't get 3x points on their recent deposits.

We've gotten 3x points on Yahoo as recent as last week.

isnt 3x the points only up to certain amount of spend on amex gold? between 30-100k a year?

It's a 100k, but that's 300k in MR points... Nothing to sneeze at.
