GAMES PROVIDE OVER 50% OF DOWNLOADS AND REVENUES

Games drive the majority of store revenue in Russia, consistent with app markets around the world. Strategy and role playing game-subcategories are particularly strong in the Russian app market, while Casual and Puzzle see a smaller revenue share that they do worldwide.

During Q1 of 2015, around 50% of downloads in Russia came from games. The lion share in growth came from Clash of Kings and Game of War – Fire Age.



A HUGE MARKET WITH A HUGE POTENTIAL

Russia already offers a huge opportunity, and appears to hold the potential for further growth in the future.

According to eMarketer, smartphone penetration in Russia is currently around 55%, and set to grow over 70% in the next three years, equivalent to almost 20 million additional smartphone users.

FYI: for Facebook advertisers, Russia has about 25 million Facebook users.

After the economic crisis in late 2014 and early 2015, currency fluctuations have stabilized. Following this, revenue in the Russian market grew considerably over a short period of time. If the economic stability continues, it is likely that growth in the app market will accelerate.

The Russian market is very strong. On top of Gaming campaigns (apps and desktop) that are very popular there, we also see huge success in Ecommerce and Travel offers.

They also have other very popular social platforms (other than Facebook) that can get you quality traffic (ok.ru, vk.ru) and so there are good options to test offers and scale if you find a good campaign (not exactly the same of course).

This market is definitely a very good one to operate in.

How does casual dating fair in Russia compared to say the US? Is it as popular, breaking through or not as big?

I dont see much in terms of casual dating in Russia.

THE verticals there (as I see them) are Games, Ecommerce, Travel and Utility apps.

which network has the most russian mobile offers?

I dont know about who has the most offers, but affiliaXe has a few decent ones

We have a plenty of russian affiliate networks who are reselling or have direct offers from adverts. Networks are: promorich, zorka mobile, everyads, unilead, highcpi etc. If someone will have additional questions about RU market please don't hesitate to ask me in PM or via Skype. BTW right now CPI payments lowered from 1,5 (summer 2014) to 0,30 -0,50. But it is still can be profitable. Things works best on a new offers, like aliexpress app done huge amount of installs in short period of time. And yes, the main and the biggest networks are vk.com + ok.com (my target). FB is not so popular in RU.
