Go2Mobi Exchanges...? Which one is the right one? (7)

Hey there,

I'd like to test Go2Mobi against Decisive but I simply do not correctly understand the exchange thing on Go2Mobi...

Can someone please explain this concept to me (as if I were 4 yrs old *gg*)?

Hey Phil,

An exchange is a supply-side mediation platform (or SSP) for the purchase and sale of advertising inventory. Publishers will implement the exchange SDK/ad code on their app/site which will then allow them to sell the ad space via the exchange.

So, the exchange brings the supply...and then demand-side platforms like Decisive & Go2mobi (DSPs) will integrate with the SSPs. The various DSPs will then compete in a real-time auction format with the impression going to the highest bidder.

Each exchange will have slightly different characteristics (similar to how NASDAQ is focused on tech stocks, whereas the S&P500 is a good metric for overall market movement) so you should talk to your rep to determine what exchange you should target.

Any exchanges work better than others for sweeps? Trying smaato now with not so good results so far.

Nexage and Smaato are restricting access to placements if you are promoting sweeps.

Talk to your manager with Go2Mobi. Recently, my manager did such a great job evaluating my past campaigns and gave some great suggestions how I can utilize other exchanges versus the ones I have been running traffic with.

The two we've seen the most success with have been Smaato and Nexage. There are definitely some good placements for sweeps on both exchanges!
