Newbie's Road To Mobile In 2015 (5)

Hey Cedric,

1) Maybe you should leave in all Browsers, not just those 4. Try changing the setting and see if it estimates more traffic. Android phones have many many browsers, you shouldn't cut any before testing thoroughly. Also, using the STM blacklist from the beginning might not be ideal. You don't know what the majority of people are running and in what geos to create that blacklist. Maybe some placements there in the combo of offer/geo/angle will work for you.

2) UC Browser can work to some extent. At least enough that you get conversions and can analyze data. Although you have limited funds, Spending like $50 on another offer is not bad. You will do it later anyway, you can also do it now.

3) Maybe try cheaper geos? They usually have less volume too so they don't make the top geos list but that doesn't mean they cannot work at all.

4) Tokens. There should be a template in Voluum already

5) No universal answer unfortunately. People usually say to give up if after X spent you don't have at least -YY% ROI to improve from. I didn't do that on my offers that are profitable, but instead found a few pockets that looked promising and worked from there. Overall my campaign still had like -90% ROI. If this is your first ever offer/campaign, it's unlikely you make it work quickly. If you know others are making it work, you know the offer is not the problem, so it probably makes sense to stick with it. If you get almost no conversions, I would say the angle might be an issue for you.

In terms of improving CTR on pops, there are quite few threads around, give them a read

How much have you managed to spend on PopAds so far? Also, how much per angle, and any differences in CTR between the angles?

Sounds like you've got a smart testing strategy and you're testing lots of angles, which is good, but we need more data to really help you out!

I'd definitely agree with manusit - drop your browser targeting. You may want to experiment with dropping the STM blacklist too, but I'd try dropping the browser targeting first and see what that does to your volume.

Thank you so much for the advice! I'll definitely internalize everything you said and implement it.
Action Plan:
1. Reset Browsers To All Browsers.
2. Probably Changing Geos [I did not come across my mind at first as my original funnel was to sieve out the converting Geos through the AM.]
3. Dropping STM 100 Blacklist
Thank you once again for your advice and continue to rock on brother!

Total Spent On PopAds: 150USD
Budget Per Angle: 5USD
Differences in CTR between a specific few angles: 2-3%
I understand as well that there is not enough data.
Hopefully with the Browser targeting in place, I would be able to provide more information!
Thank you for your help and continue to rock on too!

Firstly, I would like to thank @manusit and @ caurmen for the advice given so far.
So,
I went to change my setting of Browser Targeting to "ALL".
I still kept the STM's 100 Blacklist Site for PopAds and also remained my Bid at the highest of $5.30 for 1000Pops

ANALYSIS:
Traffic increased by almost 8-10x for all Campaigns.
Increased ROI by 10% (Still Red Though)
Paused my previous batches of LP as I did not do a good setup to analyse.
Left only Batch 4 and 5 to continue running.

ACTION PLAN:
1. To let the budget to finish running for all Angles. ($5 Each)
2. Cut Angles with Zero Conversions for both LP4 & LP5
3. Test other offers with other Aff Networks since my current Aff Network is only left with UC Browser as a recommendation.

If anyone sees an issue with my workflow, please let me know!
Thank you in advance!

The attached is my Voluum Tracker after the modifications in targeting.
