ExcoClick Voluum Automatic Cost Tracking

Anyone getting accurate cost tracking using this feature that pulls up from the Voluum template? Care to share what you did to get it working, right now it's giving me ridiculous costs way off from what my spends are.. First time I loaded it up my campaigns showed spends that were in the $1,000's off what was actually happening. I went back in and updated the costs manually and now track on CPM (that's how I've been bidding). Still not entirely accurate.

Yes, I have the same problem. It works only for CPC, not for CPM or Smart CPM price models! I've contacted ExoClick support and they replied:

Thank you for contacting ExoClick Customer Services in regards to the {cost} parameter.

From Exoclick we pass in {cost} parameter for the value as it is defined on Step 3 for the campaign even it is CPM or CPC campaign, whereas Voluum / Thrive and other tracking platforms consider that {cost} is always the cost per visitor.

For CPC campaigns the Voluum / Thrive reports should be match Exoclick's stats because the cost per visitor is stable.

Whereas, for CPM campaigns the cost as it is defined by Voluum / Thrive ( the {cost} parameter is the cost of visitor), depends on campaign's %CTR and should be equal to campaign's eCPC.

We are working with this Media buying/tracking platforms to provide tracking for both media buying models.

@ cz_voyager - thanks mate! Appreciate the update. I'm waiting to hear back from Voluum - will update this thread if Robert and team have a response and/or update to fix this.

Quick update: You can't track the impressions. You have to use CPC - there's no option for Exoclick to put the actual imp pixel. Here's the official response from their support: "Thank you for contacting ExoClick Customer Services in regards to impressions tracking.

Since this a new service Voluum have started to provide, our technical team are working with Voluum/Thrive to
find out what can be done in the terms of impressions tracking and our new cost parameter.

Currently the option to enter the a tracking URL from a tracking platform is not available.
Our own platforms is designed to measure accurately the impressions so for the time being you will have to use this."

OK, tracking impressions is not so important.

What would really help is if {cost} token worked. Has anyone been able to make it work properly?
