Hey everyone.
I'm kind of on information overload with all the different verticals to possibly get started with.
I'd like to concentrate on mobile but didn't know which vertical would be best for a newbie (if such a vertical even exists). I know my best option is probably to pick one and dive in but thought I would rack the brain of those of you who've been in the trenches for a bit.
So any thoughts for a good starting mobile vertical for a newb? Initial budget is $2k-2.5 and hopefully get to $100/Day with that.
My original thought (before I got sidetracked exploring adult) was gaming. Never played Facebook or desktop games but I've long been a console gamer.
I'm open to any suggestions for a starting point. Pin submits, games, adult, sweeps or anything not listed.
Thanks a bunch
Bobby
Hey Bobby,
I don't think there's quite universally best vertical to start with.
Since you have a limited budget, you want to get data cheaper so lower payout offers like app installs make sense. But in those app installs you have quite a few categories, including gaming. Then also some pins and sweeps have low enough payouts that you might want to consider them.
If you are not sure what you want/can promote, read the basics for each and just start something. You will get a way better idea of what works for you if you actually do it instead of trying to find the perfect start. Start and iterate based on what data tells you.
Good luck!
Manu.
Hey Manu
I've been studying the ins and outs of the different verticals. I think that's why I'm kind of frozen. Too much info.
Time to narrow it down and throw myself in and learn all I can. They all have ups and downs, ins and outs.
Just like a profitable campaign, I won't be able to create a perfect vertical but I can make one work for me.
Thank you for your reply
Bobby
Hi Bobby,
I think sweeps are a decent vertical to start with. You can find those for not expansive GEOs and doing a SOI is relatively easy comapred to other conversion flows (if its an SOI offer...).
