using one FB account to generate pixel data for second FB account

had an interesting unanswered question about using fb pixels .

has anyone tried double placing pixels from different FB accounts on the same offer , for the purpose of tracking conversions in account #1 (active account) and also for the purpose of getting pixel data in account #2 (backup account).

the ideal situation would be that account #2 would have 100+ conversions of data by the time that account #1 gets banned, so it would be much easier to set an ocpm bid for website conversions on account #2 right away and get similar results to account #1. basically you will skip over the "learning phase" of the first 1k-2k in spend on account #2 for the pixel to gather data.

has anyone tried this at all ?

in theory, yes. but here is what you are missing in you're idea:

the ocpm works on an adset level within a 24hour window of 25 conversions or more and a minimum 0.5 1-day-conversionrate.

meaning: the data you gather with account #1 are "useless" when it comes to using it as a ocpm bit for the second account. this account needs to have an adset itself that is doing 25 conversions or more within 24hrs.

in addition, you'll never get the same results 1:1 when copy pasting campaigns from one account to another bc of many different reasons (fbqueen gave some good answers on that in some past threads).. peformance is just depending on so many factors including account history.
