50onRed Questions
I have a few questions regarding 50onRed:
1- Which niches work the best on 50onRed?
2- Should I go with URL or KW targeting?
3- What is the min.-max. targets I should start with?

All of them work/(worked) pretty well.
2- Should I go with URL or KW targeting?
You can start with keywords and track the converting domains with the {domain} parametre
3- What is the min.-max. targets I should start with?
Start with minimum bids and increase until you start getting traffic. Don't do the newbie mistake and start chasing the (un)smart bids immediately.
Anyways, from my experience 50R traffic has taken an even deeper dive in the last 1.5-2 months and to be honest I can see why. Their adware is very annoying. There are some inhouse coupon&deal monetizations cluttering the pages everywhere, the popup redirects are slower compared to competitiors which leads to massive clickloss in some cases and their pops are served as tabovers which the users have learned to anticipate because they are so spammy and frequent.

Same question here, I know people who say it is working very well and giving the best CR compared to other ppv traffic sources but it would be great if someone here share personal experiences.

word on the street is that they've definitely taken a dive, especially with all of the google toolbar related changes, and whispers from former employees (their Glassdoor ratings have taken a dive too).
It was great traffic about a year and a half ago. They're probably taken all of the good stuff internally.
just my opinion tho, ymmv. i think they have a refund policy if it doesnt workout

Niches that work very well are antivirus, finance/payday loan/insurance, dating and background/credit checks
Hit me up on skype if you want me to put you in touch with a 50onred AM

Their adware pop frequency is crazy.
You get an ad popup -> You try to click somewhere in that popup to take you to the offer, you just get a new popup.
For me it's not premium PPV if your ads can be popped on again and again by other advertisers running the same traffic source. TrafficVance has a much more humane pop frequency.
I'm having better results with desktop pops on popads' RON than I have with 50onRed.
Aggressive techsupport angles should still work because I'd imagine people are pretty frustrated at the hyper spammy ads.
Tech support has almost completely replaced those Survey lander campaigns running rebills.

Yeah things have gone really down the pan at 50oR. Like mantaray says if you run the software you will see the rate which pops happen along with the intext which can takeover a page its complete shit.
They've started running other pop sources now, which leads me to believe that their uninstalls must be climbing, along with advertisers leaving. Its a real shame as their traffic was really good 18 months ago.

Now we're well into the New Year... how are you all finding 50OR now?
I started my first ever Pop campaign with them in January and have been getting pretty shocking results despite what I (and my AM) believe to be half-decent landers. I've split-test about 8 very different styles in the iPhone niche with next to no success.
With my remaining $150 or so would you recommend I try a different niche or take my money elsewhere?

Is the offer working well for other affiliates? Have you tried other offers with 50oR?
If so, maybe try split testing with other sources. You should split test everything (if possible).
There are quite a few decent PPV sources like wiget media, adcash, propeller ads...

Thanks Oran, actually the offer is through Affiliaxe
I haven't tried any other sources yet, and am trying a couple of iPhone offers... though the conversions are low they seem to be fairly equal so I haven't singled one out yet.
I've just started some Keyword targeting (having tried RON) and have woken up to 2 conversions for about 600 visitors. Not good but actually better than it has been.
I really need to research how to do KW targeting as i'm just playing blind here

I am very interested to know about STMers experiences with them too.
However, my experience is very disappointing.
I have signed up with them since 19th of June, They sent me Adobe Sign agreement to sign digitally so they can start processing my funds.
Since then they haven't processed my fund request, nor replied to my support ticket.
I have checked passed transactions and signed documents section and the document I have signed is completed gone - disappeared.
I am not sure if they have rejected it or it is a system error somehow, but that was enough to make me stay away from them.

I am also disappointed because i just started with them and found profitable campaign on my first launch. Though traffic is very low, hardly hit 25$/ day even i am bidding high. I was hitting very good conversions with low traffic and you know what after 15 days my traffic gone down. Looks like internal team watching what is converting and doing internal media buying.

Really ? Or maybe it's just because the biggest publisher removed their tag ?
Because if what you say is true, that's really crazy !
