Decisive Traffic from the Phillipines ended up coming from the U.S. And DE!

Hi everyone,

I've recently setup a utilities campaign for Android mobiles in the Philippines, following Caurmen's Mobile Cookbook Appetizer course.

I picked an offer under $1 (recommended by my AM), created 4 campaigns WIFI/APP, WIFI/SITE, MOBILE/APP, MOBILE/SITE - loaded the affiliate link - finally got my creatives approved and turned them all on...

But then I noticed a few errors in my banners and decided to start a fresh. I re-uploaded practically the same banners and they were all rejected. The reason being for promoting "Sexual or Suggestive Content".

Here's a snap of the email:

Then I got this:

So I contacted my AM to figure out what was going wrong. He explained that the traffic I was receiving from Decisive was being sent from the U.S. and Germany and not the Philippines so the affiliate link was redirecting to an Adult landing page to catch the left over traffic.

He sent me this report:

So my question for you all is what went wrong?

I assume the problem is because I haven't been checking the conversion flow of the offer - testing it myself using a VPN and an emulator (would appreciate an article about how to do this if anyone knows) or it could be an issue with my targeting in Decisive (pretty sure I asked for the Philippines) or is it something different altogether?

Any help is welcome.

Cheers

Before doing anything else, I would definitely check the campaign's geo targetting on Decisive, to make sure that the correct geo was selected (and nothing else).

If the targetting is correct, then you definitely should contact Decisive to ask for an explanation (remember to provide the screenshots you showed above as proof). If they sent you the wrong traffic, you should ask for a reimbursement.

And are you sure you weren't running other campaigns for this offer during the same period?

This was resolved. Thanks a lot Amy - apologies for the late reply

I realised it was the reviewers checking out my links and landing pages. Have come a long way since - but hope to update everyone in a follow along soon.
