"you have a virus" landing pages works well but offers that accpet them are less!

Hi,

I have tried about 6 landing pages for a Privacy Guard App (CPI).
I found that one of my landing page make a fake scan and inform the user that it's have a virus!
And finally I concluded that faking users is the right way to make them hurry to take actions.

The problem there some other good offers that prevent that kind of landing pages.. So I need some suggestions to improve the other landing pages without lying on the user.

Hint: Instead of trying to make your landers compliant, look for offers and traffic sources that allow aggressive landers.

this is possible too. remember that you do not own the offer, and the offer owner is not always friendly with you, sudden slap of unreasonable requests, restriction of payments, how should you take care of their brand?

of course there is the exception of offer owners who are interested in a long term relationship, in that case we take care of each other.

I had my payment ($4.2k) blocked on one CPA network for using aggressive fake lander (not virus lander) but the problem was that I didn't out smart them and cloaked my lander. If you're ready to take risk and do not worry about your payments getting blocked for using non compliant landers then I would suggest to go ahead and use them, just be prepared about future consequences.

The reason I am suggesting to go ahead is, its very hard to stand & compete against super affiliates using same fake virus landers and promoting offers. They may be safe because of the relation they have with AM and network and not to forget about volume they must be doing for those networks.

Do make sure you use "Double Meta Refresh" always.

Actually Double Meta is not all that safe! It will do the occasional referral leak which will get you in trouble, if you really want to go down the route of being non compliant it is much better to blank the referrer using SSL, faking the referrer using php or cloaking the landing page. Even doing the all of the above...

Personally I think it is better to find a compliant way to run and profit, at least I know my earnings will hit my bank account on a weekly basis.

Agree with Hangman, double meta refresh is not that full proof, it would be wise to employ more than one method to hide your LP from advertisers, like SSL+Double Meta Refresh or fake reffere and DMR.

Thank you a lot for your suggestions..

I can't go with those landing pages for 2 reasons:
- As you mentioned, the relation between me and the network/advertiser is very important.
- I can't lie to make money..
The second reson is more important than the first.

So, any suggestions for improving just the landers that warn users with " May be you have " not " you have x viruses "?

Perhaps try something like:

"Your phone is prone to viruses! Are you protected?"
"Viruses can erase your phone data! Highly recommended: Download antivirus now!"
"Viruses can harm your phone! Are you protected?"
"Don't lose all your phone contacts and pics! Download antivirus now!"

Any other ideas?

Actually, as it's been pointed out already: It would be very hard to make money with antivirus without "embellishing", as you'd be competing against all the scare tactics other affs are using. My hat's off to you for wanting to be honest, but perhaps you should consider another vertical?

Great headlines.. Thanks

Yes of course I will try a lot of verticals but before moving to another one need to get some results from antiviruses
