Hey guys!
I would like to hear how you fight the clickloss issue, I have sometimes over %50 clickloss in popads for example.
I do use:
3rd party DNS provider - cloudflare
CDN pushzone landers hosting
fast cloud tracker
But I still see some sick differences between traffic source reporting and tracker.
thanks!
Have you tried to run your lander through https://gtmetrix.com/?
Apply for some of top recommendations and compare clickloss after.
I've been in the pop game for quite sometime and I can tell you that unfortunately it's an issue that is very hard to tackled. Given you already have the best technical set up on your side, you'll still be facing an average of 20-30% click loss. It largely depend on your:
1. Traffic source - pop is known for having click loss issue.
2. Their publishers - certain pubs are contributing ALOT MORE click loss than others.
3. The country that you're targeting. Eg. you'll see a BIGGER click loss when you do RON (worldwide) than targeting just 1 single country.
I did raise this issue to the few sources and provided them the contact of my tracking system (
My advise for you?
If you've decided to deal with pop traffic, you'll just got to absorb the cost of your click loss. Instead working on how to reduce the click discrepancy, you should look into your funnel and see how can you yield a higher ROI so that you campaign still can be profitable after taking the click loss into account.
When I'm launching campaigns, I always list out the "internal" and "external" factors that I'll be facing, and will work on a solution to tackle them.
Internal factors are things within your own control - eg. our funnel, angle, traffic source selection...
External factors are things beyond our control. - click loss issue on pop, offer goes down...
If you decided to go with pop, you better prepare to absorb the cost incurred by the click loss/nego with your rep to see if anything can be done on it.
If you are doing a managed buy and you know you can't pause the campaign anytime you like, you better have a back up offer standing by.
External factors are always there, question is... what can we do on our end, in order to minimise the impact the external factors can cause us.
@Gabreeze
It isn't about the landers, the tracker would count the impression by then.
@kokofai
Benjamin thanks for dropping by!
I have this problem mostly on 3rd tier countries, up to %70 Clickloss on those geos...
I understand that the measurements that can be taken are very limited on that matter,
Thanks for your advice!
