Hey Guys!
I wanna run an exclusive apk offers that have very low payout (less than 0.1...)
My goal is making at least 100k installs monthly.
Do you have any suggestions how to run them with pop traffic, regarding:
Using landers vs direct linking vs lander of intro pop and immediate redirection
Which geos to target, to have volume with very low bids
conversion flow - I never ran APKs before, any tips about that?
Do you suggest also running on display or any other ad format?
Thanks!!
Hey bro!
Depending on the offer and geo it is possible to find an apk offer that fits your criteria.
Landers usually works best, but also make sure to check out the restrictions for the offer to see if you can direct link or redirect.
Regarding targeting a particular geo, your best bet is to hit up your AM and ask for some stats. He/She will be able to tell you which geo the offer is working in.
Everything else is testing and scaling
You want to run exclusive APK offer ??does that mean you are in touch with the advertiser of an app ?? or you want to run from other networks. As JayF5 said you got to find the offer incase you dont have which supports most geos and a traffic sources which can offer cheaper traffic. In most case Tier 3 countries are profitable/advisable to run these apk install offers.
@imsquad Yeah Im in touch with the advertiser.
I started running it but they have a problem they can't send subids with the postback... that's kinda bummer
I'll see how it goes
Ouch!! thats sad to know... but I dont think it would be big deal to incorporate subid or third party pixel into their app. But on positive note having exclusive deal is worth a lot!!! do let us know how it goes for you. May a case study, post your success on getting 100k installs monthly, would help fellow STMers
Hahaha sure, currently I use it on backfix for regular offers, the numbers aren't bad at all
Hey @mr matan,
Let me share with you my experiences so far with APK offers:
- First of all, regarding the geos, I advise you to focus on Tier 3 countries, those are the only onde where I managed to have profitable campaigns;
- If they are DDL (Direct Download), you will have troubles when it will come to the campaign approval, not all the adnetworks and DSP's accept this kind of offers (since they damage the website's visitor experience).
- Conversion Flow - the APK's I tested so far were on a CPA basis and are normally DDL but I only earn money with them when the user opens the app online. So downloading the APP is not enough. Once, I tested one that only paid me when the user opened the app and played a video inside of it. Bottom line, normally it requires an action from the user;
- Spots to explore: Display, with banner that have a high CTR;
I hope this can help you to start with the APK's
Cheers
@mr matan,
If you have remnant, I would go for Pop and not Banner. On the banner traffic, the remnant traffic has a really low CTR because after some impressions, the users understand where is the adspot so they are not fooled anymore and are more insightful. I think that remnant pop can work yes but work carefully on your traffic sources. Let me know then if you had success
Cheers
@matan, How did the APK campaign go? Are you still running it? Are you on par with your goal? Is there a way to check its past performance rating since it's not in the Google Playstore? I might have found something similar and gonna check with the AM and see...
I no longer run it, the CR was VERY high but they had no way to give me subid on the postback so I had no way to optimize...
If you get such offer it is great to run it with remnant and adult traffic, doing that right and you can have really good stable campaign.
That's a bummer dude. I was trying to install it myself but it seems like warning messages keep popping up, as opposed to a regular more traditional Playstore offer.

Any interest in here to start/join a mastermind on skype about running APK offers? We run quite a few of these offers and i'd love to share & gain my knowledge and expierence with APK offers. If you post your skype addresses here, I'll add you to the group.
Interesting topics to discuss are:
- which apk offers are killing it
- countries to focus on
- tracking (s2s, subid, etc)
- networks/advertisers to stay away from
- networks/advertisers to focus on
- pay out structure discussion
- fraud & chargebacks
