What am I doing wrong? (5)

What am I doing wrong?

Right now I'm trying to learn my way around the traffic source and how everything works. I used WRW and found a few creatives that have been running for a few months for my offer and are using them simply to get data and work from there.

Right now I am using a mobile game from Peerfly (I get denied from any other cpa network :/ ).

I had the campaign running for a while and no conversions at all to work with. I planned to try a creative proven to work then use my own to test the difference .. Right now my goal is to learn how to interpret all the data I am getting.

If I have spent 5 times the offer payout and not a single conversion something is wrong?

Why when I use the link Peerfly gave me even on my android phone it gets sent to a spammy appwall? I am worried are the people viewing my ad seeing this? How can i know for sure? If I am using an android phone, shouldn't it be working fine? It's also a U.S. offer.

Also, if banner on WRW has been showing for multiple months that means it has proven to work or else it wouldn't be up that long, I assume. So what would be the reason behind a banner performing bad when you just took one that was already working? I know I should come up with my own to test, etc. But I am curious.

First hard noob lesson.

Finally realized my first campaign was a huge waste of money. The offer was down, that is why it was going to some spammy looking appwall and no conversions at all.

Noob mistake on my part for not checking it all out. Lesson learned. Trying hard to get approved at other networks. The one I'm using now is so limited on good mobile game offers which is the vertical I want to learn.

Yes, Basic Lesson: Always test the conversion flow yourself before turning on the traffic firehose.

Its sadly a common complaint that you hear from affiliates getting into the biz - make sure you're always testing the flow/making sure the offer is live. IF you have any questions/concerns always, always, always hit up your AM - this is your money you're throwing into the mix, so make sure you're covering your bases. Especially as there are enough barriers/problems that you will encounter and have to adjust to, might as well remove this as an obstacle.

I agree with HenryF5, utilize your AM as MUCH as possible for additional insight and assistance with offers. Sometimes they can be informed of an update sooner than the system. Usually, Skype should be the best way to reach them.

And so you made a "noob" mistake. All is good. It's a valuable, simple lesson, that now will have you being more diligent with your future campaigns.
