Tried 5 trackers, none of them work. We have a unique need. Help? (16)

So we tried some affiliate marketing trackers like Voluum, prosper202, ads bridge and none of them work for us.
We also tried some more sophisticated trackers like has offers and CAKE but again, not working for what we need it to do for us.

Let me explain what we are trying to do.

We are sending traffic to one of our publisher website. On our pub site, we have ads that get redirected to our presale pages, on the presale we have a step1 and step2 that gets redirected to our offer pages. And finally we have the conversion page (sale).

We tried the affiliate trackers but we could only start tracking at the presale page level. This is great if your sending traffic to the presale but if your sending traffic to the pub site, then we can't do it in those affiliate trackers (Voluum, prosper202, etc.). So we tried CAKE and after 4 weeks of getting it setup, the CAKE system is unable to spit the report/stats data that we need (limitations to 2 levels in their system and require additional development time/cost to customize to our needs).

What we need is to have a report of the entire path that the visitor took to get to the conversion and this can get complex, especially since the path is quite unique for each visitor (depending on the ad that was clicked to get to the pub, the ad they clicked on the pub, the presale that is linked to the ad, etc.). Also, i we need to see which ads are converting the most from multiple traffic sources. Basically we want to see all engagement so we can make real solid marketing decisions.

Is there anything out there that will work with a more complex setup and generate very detailed traffic reports?

I ran into the exact same issue last month. I haven't figure it out completely just yet, but believe it or not, I think one way to go is with Google Analytics with the proper use of UTM tags and event tracking.

I think something could be done, specially since you don't want the CPV or Prosper cookies to mess cross post navigation within the publisher site and offer linking (this drove me almost mad).

With proper utm tags implemented and event tracking I think you could see which paths are more profitable to you within Google Analytics (as you could report the conversions with revenue as well)

I still need to figure this one out, but glad you brought it up, maybe we can get to the bottom of this

A tool with event tracking and funnel analytics is probably the best bet. Google analytics, with cross domain tracking could be worth looking into

Also check out mixpanel, kissmetrics or heap. I personally like heap a lot since it does the event tracking part without extra coding. I haven't used kissmetrics, but they compete with mixpanel and heap. One thing to note is that all of these tools can get pretty expensive with heavy traffic.

We may build basic event and funnel tracking into P202 but it's not a current priority

Thanks fabian for confirming that i'm not alone with this issue
I thought if GA in the past but will revisit to see if there is hope in getting that setup with the process flow that i need.

A few years ago, I was on on the board of directors of a company with the guy who also started www.ImpactRadius.com (in addition to starting some other small companies like Savings.com and Commission Junction, LOL)

I haven't really followed Impact Radius for ages now, but they may offer something closer to what you are looking for.

I was also looking into http://cpvlab.com, never tried them.
Seems like the support multiple paths.

Just need to make sure if it can report initial traffic source, go thru multiple funnels but still report the initial traffic source at the end of the user visit.

Anyone every tried CPVLab?

CPV Lab is one of the staple affiliate tracking systems alongside Prosper202, Thrive, Voluum. CPV Lab and Prosper202 are from an earlier era.

I wouldn't suggest using CPV Lab for what you are trying to do, I don't believe it is geared for that.

Your requirement is possible to realize on Adsbridge.com. Below are the steps in Adsbridge platform to do it:

1. Create traffic source with tokens according to the banners on your traffic source
2. Create multi offer landing page (self hosted) with number of offers according to the banners on your pub site
3. Link the url of multi offer LP to the banners on your pub site. Each url will be unique and have suffix ..offer1/2/3/4/5/6...
4. Create offers
5. Create campaign and link it with offers and multi-LP
6. Generate postback pixel on the last step of campaign creating
7. Use url campaign on your source

So after 1.5 months of looking for a solution to our tracking problems, we finally found what we needed.
Thanks to Adsbridge.com!

They got us setup within 24 hours and our entire funnel of events is tracking flawlessly.
The platform seems a bit simple at first, but the complexity of functions and options is unbelievable.
Their system was build with lot of thought put into it for sure.

I would highly recommend Adsbridge.com if you are having the same issues we encountered.
