What are the converting Fonts and Colours?

Hi Stackers,

i have created several banners and trying out different font and colour and till to date still can't figure out what are more reliable converting fonts and colours. Need some help form the experts that are good at creating converting banners and landers.

P.S Would appreciate even more if colour codes are provided.

This would depend on the particular niche/vertical, the colors of the site you're advertising at, as well as the colors used on the offer page.

Some advertisers don't allow imitation of their color-scheme though.

But yes - if I were you I'd start by imitating the advertiser site (if allowed), and also the offer landing page. Also, try to use the same colors on your banners + landers as those on the offer page - this would give the visitor a more consistent experience which may increase conversion rate.

Also, for some verticals, certain colors work better. For food-related offers for example, red and yellow work the best (think McDonald's).

A ton more information on google:

Hope that helps!

Thank you Amy for been so informative on the choice of colour used.

What about font style to be used, example if offer would to be directed to Google Play store? Does font style affect the outcome of the conversion significantly, or anything works as long as its can display its angle clearly on banner and lander?

Sorry to ask this silly question

I would say choose a legible font - the easier to read the better!

To be honest I never split-test fonts myself. I would HIGHLY recommend focusing on testing the bigger things especially in the intial stages of a campaign - offers, angles, images, headlines, etc. - before tinkering with colors and fonts. These will usually not make or break your campaign, whereas the aforementioned variables CAN and WILL.

What Amy said +

There is recent discussion and a great collection of fonts resources here.

For banners start with the targeted site fonts (use browser developer tools to find the used font and google that font if it's something fancy).

As for landers better start with default and neutral ones - think Arial, Helvetica... ( http://www.fonts.com/content/learnin...l-vs-helvetica ). I tend to avoid using fancy downloadable fonts because it adds loading times (critical for mobile).
As Amy says - after you've optimized the main conversion boosters: image/s, headline, text copy, CTA, layout&colors you can start playing with fonts.

Thank you for the valuable information.. I will work on my offers instead of focusing on the trivial stuffs that only add a few conversions (maybe)
