Any need for a VPS in Mobile?
Hey guys,
Would there be any reason that someone running mobile campaigns would need a VPS for?
Assuming that they're using Voluum and a CDN, would there be any conceivable situation they'd need a VPS?

A VPS comes handy when you need to use PHP for your landing pages.
Other than that, I don't see any reason to use a VPS over a quality CDN, especially if you're running mobile campaigns all over the world.

Thanks Ralphy,
What sort of features could you use on a lander that would require php?
All the scripts i use right now (geo, timer, device, model, etc) don't need php and i can use on a CDN.

Lander protection scripts and cloakers.
For example, you could write php code that checks the GEO location of your visitors and redirect them elsewhere if it's not the country you're targeting. Because php is a server sided language all the magic happens before the visitors see your page.

Ah k cool, would that be lander protection and cloaking against other affiliates or advertiser/traffic source?
I know with
Voluum you can redirect to different landers based on Geo, is restricting the Geo enough to cloak sufficiently?
