Anyone have Exoclick approval issues? (20)

Anyone have Exoclick approval issues?

I recently had trouble getting approved on Exoclick, but finally broke through. I was running ads for 2 days and suddenly my account got blocked. Each time my account gets blocked, Exoclick sends me a message saying they won't discuss further. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not doing anything shady and my personal information is all accurate.

What payment method did you use? Have you tried e-mailing help@exoclick.com for more details?

I used PayPal. help@exoclick.com actually emailed me to let me know, but they won't share any details with me. I looked at the guidelines and one of them says that you can't imitate any other advertisers. Since almost all of mp LPs are variations of either the survey lander or map lander, could this be why my account is getting banned? How do you avoid this?

Bullshit, no way this is the reason..They would have to reject, I don't know 95% of the advertisers? as most creatives and most certainly LPs are the same/very similar. If you like I could ask my account manager what could be problem, just PM me.

Thanks teneo. Just sent you a PM.

That seems indeed like a strange reason to get refused because if they apply that rule very strictly, then they cant work with affiliate networks, superaffiliates, etc.
If you want, hit me up on skype and i'll bring you in touch with their client service director so that you have a direct line (instead of a general helpdesk contact).

I had the same issue. They have automated systems in place which checks through your campaigns to see if you are violating any rules. Also if you have landers in rotation, they wont check all the landers when they review the campaign, so its safer to email their support with all the lander variants and get them approved.

IMO, ExoClick is like Facebook. Its a delicate situation and once your account gets blocked, unless you have an insider, there is pretty much no more use in emailing them.

When mine went down, and I could prove to them that their claim was wrong, I was direct linking and the to my knowledge the advertiser hadn't changed their landing page and I had been running that campaign for weeks (but I doubt if the advertiser had a fall back page for bots). I emailed their CEO, CTO, called their support and did contacted their business development guys, but nothing helped.

I think your best bet is to wait for a few months and try applying for a new account again. Or find an insider guy.

Good luck!

Interesting, thanks. Do you know what type of LPs they don't accept? I see that they don't allow exit pops, but I don't have any of those. Is there anything else that I should know?

Not much luck there, my LP was for antivirus, it wasnt anything aggressive, but everyone generally hates AV anyways.

The only way to know for sure is to show your landing page to their support so that if they tell you later on that the LP isn't right, you can tell them that their support approved it and show them the email.

Makes sense - thanks for the help.

write in to exoclick, every traffic network has their own funny rules. there is no need to make sense of them. just make sure there is a constant line of communication with support so u can understand what they want and what they dont want

in case you were wondering, we are doing very different stuff on every traffic source that by reading the support documents may not reveal. we constantly write in 2-3 emails everyday to all the traffic sources asking different questions to try to figure out the language we speak. from this we are actually able to figure out other people's secret stuff like bid prices, total actual traffic etc. its meant to be private, but if u ask the correct questions and adjust their answers, you get all these "secret" information.

I agree to xavierfok. You will get a lot of insider info just by asking the right questions. That's one thing included in mastering your traffic source.

Especially how their bidding system works. You can figure it out by lots of split tests, or just ask them few "What if.." questions and you will get straight answers.

Good luck.

That's very interesting. Thanks for that tip xavierfok. I wrote into support last night asking them if my LPs were okay. Once they respond, I will start digging in and seeing what I can find out 😀

I got blocked after 5 days of running. Have you had any luck creating new accounts?

They seem to be more strict with some GEOs now, probably due to high fraud levels resulting from such countries. I had this problem in the past too, with many affiliate networks, sending references from other companies I was working with definitely helped. Basically, they want to see you are a legit businessman and not someone trying to defraud them and waste their time. It's a problem for new affiliates for sure, who have no history to provide them with ... but that's the way it is.

Oh and there is one more way to solve this ... come to some affiliate conference where they are present, it's easier to get approved when you meet them face to face.

I have been thinking about this, although I am newbie when between now and attending the conference in Bangkok I was looking at:

Setting up a website / Making myself look more like a business (How much detail should the website have ? )
Creating a Linked In Profile - I don't have one as I hate having my details out in public hehe but I will.
Creating business cards with my photo / website and skype details

Anything else you can recommend I should work on over the next few months so I can transition from newbie to someone who wants to build those successful relationships with networks?

Having a good looking website can help for sure, make it look like a standard agency website with the regular "our mission" bs, contact info, some references etc ... nothing complicated is needed. I've been using a 1-page website for years withouot any issues.

Linked in is fine too, just make sure to build some connections in the network and add some work history ... so the account doesnt look fake.

Business cards are great for conferences, they give you a bit of reputation again ... it's all about looking like a REAL business person.

Go with networks that are no so strict and build some history with them, that's the best you can do. As soon as you can provide some nice stats screenshot, all doors will open for you.

There are also affiliate groups on FB, join some. Search for #MRKTRS for example
