Exo Targeting Question

Does anyone know if you can target specific zones (or add them) in certain placements while running RON on Exoclick?

I know you can add or remove domains to target but wonder if you can do the same to zones.

Anyone has been able to do this or it simply can't be done?

Thanks.

You mean that you for example want to run only NTVA on domain A and do not want to run Footer on the same domain (while running RON)? If so, I think it can't be done unless you ask your account manager to do it for you.

Thanks. Yeah an Exo rep finally came back (their support is pretty awesome) and confirmed that is not possible even thought that they have consider it as something to implement in the future. You can do it on Premium thought just not in RON.

yes thats right, you can target in premium spots only.

but sometimes the different spots could be in different categories? languages? or have a different nature in traffic like browsers/os.

so by excluding these traffic, some of these options, you are able to reduce the traffic from one spot.

Hello,

What I normally do to go around this "issue" is to run those websites on a RON campaign and as soon as I have data, I check what is the spot that is giving me the margin. Most of the cases, for the same domain, the spots have really different performances. Then I pick the spot and I target it on a Premium campaign. Keep in mind that you can be in competition with yourself on both RON and Premium campaign, so I usually blacklist this domain on the RON campaign.

One spot normally appears in all the categories, languages and devices but the layout can be different of course.

The categories are related to a whole website or a division inside the website. For example, if I remove "Lesbian", I will remove all the Lesbian websites but I will also lose some traffic that comes from the Lesbian categories of generic websites (PH, YP, XH, etc.). Then it depends always on how the publisher registered his website.

I hope this will help you

the best way is to test it, and then notice how affects your profit. sometimes the explanation could be wrong, or we dont understand, but it makes $$$ =D
