F5 Media - Submit custom creatives - How? I'm lost...

Hey there,

I tried to follow the appetiser approach for mobile but when I set up the campaigns I feel like I'm missing a major part...

In the beginning of the appetiser, Caurmen instructed to create 8 banners --> DONE

Then, wenn setting up the campaign I am told to copy the URL from CAKE (F5) and put them into the link field in decisive?

But how do I get my custom banners approved upfront? I can add creatives in the CAKE backend using the button "Add creative" in the tab "Creatives"... but there is no upload, only name, link and description...

1. Does that mean I have to host them on my own server and just provide a link? the appetiser says absolutely nothing about using custom creatives in cake...
2. Do I get a unique link for all every creative? --> from my caclulations that would lead to 32 campaigns in decisive (8 banners x 4 variations - site, app, mobile, wifi)???
3. I see that there is obviously a category setting for the list of creatives (link, email, flash, html, text etc.) but I do not see how I can set this?

Unfortunately my AM also is not very quick in responding, so tried to pick her up on Skype but the response delay is 12+ hrs, which makes instant messaging somehow useless..

I'm not with F5 myself, but in general you would:

1) send your creatives (png/jpeg) to your AM by skype and/or email.

To make it easy for them you can just drag all banners into a single psd file, number each banner, and export that as a single png which you then send to the AM.
This way they can quickly say: "all banners are approved except for number 3 and 7".

2) then on the traffic source side (decisive) you drag all banners (the individual banner files and not the consolidated file from step 1) into the "Creative" section.

The step which says to copy the URL from F5 is not about your banners but it's your offer link. This link needs to go in the "Info" section in decisive and not the "Creative" section.

Hope that helps.
