Launching a project on Sept 1. The page will be a reverse squeeze type of deal, so basically they get a pdf for free, in the pdf there is a link to opt in for more.
I'll be using some of the usual suspects for traffic... FB, TV, Bing and possibly Google. We also have some buys on various sites.
My main concern is with TrafficVance. Basically I want to know what targets and such are generating the most downloads of that PDF.
How would you do this? Would you:
1) Do an onClick script to track the conversion (not sure what the script would be for multiple pixels)
2) Make the PDF link go to a blank page that does a refresh to the PDF, and the blank page has the pixels.
I'm thinking #2 but sounds too simple to work, lol.
can be done with cpvlab as they have a selection to push the cookie on the click...
man, must we break out the lab for this.... lol I'll look into it I remember reading that.
Why not just count a optin of the email ad the download... think your over thinking it.. since most poeple who optin do it for the ebook so whats your ration like 80 90 percent anyways
Track each target to a unique file name for the pdf.
Or you can use javascript to load the conversion pixel image before sending the download of the pdf file.
