Go2mobi Creative Strategy???

Hey guys,

I've been back for a few months after a long hiatus from STM. This place is still rockin' with great threads. Been focusing on mobile and I have quick questions for those running Go2mobi. I just found out that you can't blacklist/pause poor performing creatives (as of yet) in the Go2mobi interface.

1.) What are your strategy on creatives testing? It doesn't make sense to test 10 banners at a time since you won't be able to pause poor performers (as of yet). How do you guys go about testing creatives on Go2mobi?

2.) What CTR % are you aiming for?

When optimizing banners:

3.) Do you gauge the performance of a banner throughout all the placements?

ex.) Banner A is getting 1.9% on all placements => Keep banner
Banner B is getting 0.08 on all placements => Kill banner

or

ex.) Banner A is getting 1.9% on placement XYZ => Keep
Banner B is getting 0.09 on placement XYZ => Kill

Do you need to dig down to a placement + banner combination or will a good CTR for all placements be enough.

I hope this makes sense. I'd love to get some ideas on how it's done especially in Go2mobi

p.s. It's great to be back.

u can pause none performing creatives. you can do it in the campaign management screen.

for your other questions. generally you want conversion data not ctr. conversions are what matters.

but chances are anything less than 1% ctr is not going to make you money.

as for creatives performing differently on different placements. sure its possible.

@hlyghst thanks for the insights. What's the average Landing page CTR to aim for using mobile display?

depends on vertical. i get about 20-40%. without tricks.
