Mobile Strategy and Results Mastermind Roundup (15)

Rounding up a group of driven individuals (newbie-intermediate) trying to make it in mobile marketing...

Goals:

• To reach our goals and accomplish massive results
• To mastermind together and generate great ideas and insights
• To push each other to achieve and compete in a friendly way

Some topics that will be covered:

• Split-testing strategies
• Best offer/traffic source match-ups
• Discuss individual goals and checking each other's accountability
• Different angles, creatives, and landing page ideas

Rules:

• 5-8 members
• 1 mandatory weekly call
• If you miss 2 calls in a row, or have frequent absences, you will be kicked out
• Must be positive and driven
• Must be doing mobile offers for app installs, pin submits, or games
• Each week there will be a new chairman that will be in charge of organizing the weekly call and topics that will be covered
• Can also ask questions, share ideas, and provide value throughout the week

Requirements:

• Newbie-intermediate skill level
• Must have min $25/week testing budget
• Must have ideas and value to share with the group

Also number 1 rule is to have fun!!

I wonder in what time zone you're located? I think this is crucial because although I'm determined to make it in mobile (yes, I think I would be a good match... ) I still have a day job and a family so I cannot stay up 24/7 (although I want to ...)

Ok, first of all, thanks for taking the initiative to set something up. I know there are a lot of mm groups right now nevertheless I find it still "honorable" if someone makes the first step especially since your introductory post tells me something about motivation (it's not just these "hey... let's set something up ... who wants to join..." thing) --> THANKS

Yeah... definitely... I mean what's the purpose going from cubicle nation (my current situation) to another boring environment ;-)

Alright, here are my application details

1. How long you've been working on mobile: Only for two weeks or so and trying to get my first campaigns running... (quite newbie, as I a said)
2. Strengths and weaknesses: I think I have some decent Photoshop knowledge and setting up a server etc. is also a nobrainer for me. On the other hand I really loved all the articles around angles here on STM and to discuss them openly in a creative group would be amazing. So "being creative" is one of my strengths I think... Weaknesses .. ouch... always a pain point to look at these... I think one of my weaknesses is that I always try to go the easy route (easy money / avoiding obstacles etc.). So being in this forum for some months already cured this a little bit but I need to work more on that.
3. Goals / Accomplishment: I'd like to get out of 9 to 5 mid term (this time next year). Therefore high $xxx/days are required from my perspective. Short term I'd like to make enough money to go to Affiliate Conference Asia in BKK in December (conference fee, business class flight, amazing airbnb accomodation)
4. Timezone: CEST - Central European Standard Time - / UTC +2 / EST +6

In general I think that a combination of international people is quite inspiring for a mastermind because my feeling is that we could all support each others with sometimes different views on things like angles etc. In addition we could collaborate on local campaigns (e. g. "how do you see that in Germany / US / Thailand..")

I like this "combination of international people". Indeed those local will definitely know more about the characteristic and culture of people in their own countries. They will be able to share out what type of offers will more likely to work based on their personal experience (regardless of whether they have any AM knowledge or not).

I am really interested in joining a mastermind group like this. I think that being able to brainstorm your ideas and have a group of people with similar interest and goals are crucial to suceeding.
How long you've been working on mobile: Hard to say. I had one time success story in 2013 with pin submits and Facebook ads. ROI around 300% from ~$3k investment (my first take at mobile). After the offer died I was too busy to look for other things and my side business was becoming profitable, so I gave up on AM.
Strengths and weaknesses (design, programming, ideas, starter, finisher, analytical or creative, etc.):
Design: 0
Programming: Basic: HTML/CSS. Intermediate: Python, Java
Ideas: Semi-creative
Analytics: Advanced

Hi Gracie, I would love to join this Mastermind group if there is space left - I started AM 3 weeks ago - My background is in internet Marketing and has been for 10 years - predominently email marketing and list building.

I am going down the mobile route in AM, and have run 3 campaigns so far using the mobile cookbook appetiser to get a handle on the process. Not had any profitable campaigns as yet - That's why this group is such an excelent idea. My weakness is selecting the the Offer the rest is procedual. My goals are - By three months in i want to clearing £300-£500 a day in profit and by Feb 1st 2017 i want my first £1m

How long you've been working on mobile
Not at all in AM. I've been doing mobile FB & AdWords campaigns for clients (big corporates in telco, finance), but that's a different ballgame.

Strengths and weaknesses (design, programming, ideas, starter, finisher, analytical or creative, etc.)
I'm good with Google AdWords, Google Analytics, can work quite well with Wordpress, know my way around Photoshop, I can write.

Some of your goals/what you want to accomplish
Break even campaigns asap, € 100/day by the end of September, € 300/day by the end of 2015.
