I'm having a weird bug, everytime I go on my facebook, an authorization pop appears asking to handle my ads :

When I click not now, i'm redirected here :

I don't know what's fanrock, and to add to that, I just had to cancel my cc last week because of 2 transaction labeled "Facebook" while i'm not running anything on FB at the moment.
Anyone knows what this is ? and how to get rid of it ?
Mehdi
WTF? Sounds strange good you canceled your cc
I don't know if it's an extension since this is happening on my chrome, while my safari is also apparently compromised by something else that shows me dhtml pop ads everywhere, so i'm thinking it's probably an app or something.
What's a good antivirus/antimalware for Mac I could use ?
If that is happening on the legit Facebook domain with the app asking for permissions, go delete the app from your security settings.
Log in and go to https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications
Then find the app in there and remove it. It's good practice to cleanse this area every once and a while to remove crap you don't use.
It looks like they triggered the adding of the app to your account but without you confirming, hence why Facebook is prompting you - likely a pending request that needs to be addressed.
Thanx zeno, I just did that! we'll see if it solves the problem.
I'm still looking for a mac antivirus/malware suggestion, my Safari browser is infested with ads on every page, I only use Chrome but still; bothers me to know something is on my mac that I don't want or didn't ask for ^^
Thanx mate! I'll have a look at it right now.
you can always go to - https://www.facebook.com/fanrock?fref=ts
and place a comment on their home page to explain what are they trying to do?
regarding the anti virus i recommend Bitdefender, it will simply wont allow you to go to certain pages and will protect your PC 100%
Well, FML !!! I removed the app so it stopped asking to manage my ads, but now FB is asking me to authorize the application ..

Odd, Ghostery is legitimate?
In any case, Sophos is decent. Mac has inbuilt anti-malware systems much like Windows Defender in Windows 8.
I would check out your browser addons/extensions, audit your startup items (in Mac OS that is), and perhaps add OpenDNS entries to your network preferences to use OpenDNS as your primary DNS provider (to dodge any annoying redirection crap).
My bad, the prompt is back so it's not ghostery !
I ran a scan and cleaned treats with Sophos.
This is getting really annoying, someone knows where the guys from Fanrock live ?

Mehdi-
Same situation here. Just emailed them. Will let you know. I "assume" I opted in for something at some point, but weird in that I banned their app, but it's still popping.
Thank god I'm not alone !! lol
Yes please do let me/us know what they say and how to get rid of it once and for all, it's super annoying, FB should do something to stop an app (blocked app on top of that) from prompting you on EVERY visit you make to freaking facebook.com...
Mehdi-
Figured it out... The co that owns fanrock is same as audience intersect. If you have that extension / add on in Chrome, delete it. That fixed it for me!
