Hey People,
A big challenge I have is when I am starting a new campaign. By default I launch with 1 or 2 banners and different angles with the copy.
I am new hear and after reading a guide it advises 10 banners.
Question - is that 10 DIFFERENT banners or 10 banners in total including the different angles?
K
anyone?...
10 banners / 1 angle. So if you test 2 angles, you create 20 banners.
And what do you mean by "different banners"? I, for example, start with generic banners (white background, red cta, blinking icon and black/blue text) with different headlines. So the only difference between 5-7 banners I create is the headline -- I optimize colors, icons, fonts and etc. only after gathering enough data to tell which angle performes the best.
You can stick to Mobile Cookbook and create 10 completely different banners -- different colors, fonts, icons, animations, text and etc.
Yes make 10 banners but that's just a starting point.
DO NOT MAKE YOUR FIRST 10 BANNERS ALL WITH THE SAME TEXT AND CHANGE BUTTON COLORS
The first few banners need to drastically different from one and other. You should be exploring your craziest angles.
The first thing you want to figure out is what angle works.
Once you have data from your first ten if you have 1 that works good then build more using variations of that angle. If your first 10 flop then try 10 fresh new ones with new angles.
Keep doing this until you find something that works. By the time your done you might of made 50-500 or more different banners in total.
If have never done this before. Find a few of your competitors banners online edit them to make them better (improve the text, change the wording, change the color scheme, make them flash)
Thanks for your responses.
By completely different I mean different images, colors and headlines.
The thing I find is, If I create 10 completely different banners and 1 of them worked better, I do not know if it is the angle, the banner imagery or the copy.

Makes so much sense. I need to increase the amount of times i am testing and refreshing my banners
Thank you very much
