Need advice: Running ads to lander INSIDE Facebook fan page

Hey guys,

What I'm trying to do is drive traffic to a landing page created as an app on my Facebook fan page (which I've done using Lead Pages). That way the traffic stays inside Facebook.

I read in another thread that Facebook likes this and it could lower CPC's. (Factors will vary of course.)

So what I did was set this up as a Clicks To Website campaign in Power Editor.

Then when I tried to upload the new campaign/ad sets/ads I keep getting this error:

Failed to create ad xxxx': 'This ad is trying to use CPA or oCPM bidding on actions, but our system can't determine which action to optimize for. If using API, this can be specified explicitly using the conversion spec, or, if using Power Editor, is determined based on the objective and the content of the creative. For instance, if this is a website clicks ad, ensure that the post links to a URL outside of Facebook. (#100.1487376)


Well, I want to optimize for clicks but keep the traffic within Facebook to this landing page.
So how would I go about setting this up?

So how would I go about setting this up?
JJ - I ran a campaign using LeadPages to publish a FB tab and running traffic to it like you're trying to do.

I'm almost certain you're going to have to use the "Promote Your Page" selection when creating your ad.

And here are 2 tips for getting your audience to the right place --
1. Use the "Optimize For.." option and choose "Clicks" instead of "Likes"
2. Under "Landing View" (located in Advanced Options in the regular ad creation tool) choose your LeadPages tab/app that you created.
*This will send the clicks directly to your opt-in tab instead of the main FB page you're promoting.

This method was pretty effective for me. Hope it helps.
