Balancing day job, life and AM - how do you do it?

So far, the forum has been amazing. I've learned a lot and certainly have you guys to thank for.

I launched my first campaign and though its still at 0 conversion point - it just means that I need to keep bettering myself and try something new.

I'm curious about how you guys balance your day job (if you have one), life and AM at the same time?

My day job is in analytics, it's very heavy on numbers and straining so once I get off - literally all I want to do is rest. I'm also learning Spanish and commit to at least 30 min daily to the routine. I want to spend more time on AM but sometimes I just get overwhelmed. Come weekend and not surprisingly I spend most of it recuperating from the weekdays.

It'd be useful to see how you guys juggle work and AM. Is there some kind of system/Routine that you maintain daily? And if there's any tips about efficiency that you can share that'd be great

Try to wake up early is my recommendation, and see how that works out for you. Get most, if not all, of your AM stuff sorted before you even head into work. Then spend the evening just checking in on the progress and plan the next morning actions. I found myself not doing anything productive later in the evening and just wanted to rest, so why not just sleep and get rest? Also look into meditation.

I am in the tech industry which means I work very long hours but that doesn't stop me from doing Affiliate Marketing.

I figure out the best way is to plan a routine what I have to do everyday.
I use Wunderlist as my to-do-list. At the end of the day I will update what I need to do tomorrow if necessary.
Some tasks I will set it as a repeat event (e.g Update campaigns spreadsheets)
There are many things to do but I think it is important to set priorities for each items.
Those tasks that provide little values, I usually try not to touch on them unless I have extra time.

Weekends is when I sit down think, plan what I have to do for the upcoming week and of coz logging it into Wunderlist.

I guess there is no right or wrong answer, you can figure out what kind of routine/way fits best in your current situation.
Keep going. Goodluck.

i make the most of the time i have when i do work.

i'm sure you've heard of the pomodoro system. i am a big fan and have found that it has increased my productivity immensely. i may not have a lot of time, but i make the most of what i have.

Cheap alcohol and shallow women help.

If you day job pays anything decent, it shouldn't be a problem to save $5000-$10000 and go to South East Asia for 2-3 month and work on AM full time and have cheap booze and shallow women on weekends.

When back home, good routine with Crossfit training in the morning and Muay Thai in the afternoon helps to keep the body alive.

As for mind, having a day job that doesn't completely suck help. If you hate everything there, eject immediately as psychological drain will be too much to handle anything but "unwinding" after you are done.

In regards to productivity system, the only important thing is is to have written goals and todo list as your head has already too much crap from J.O.B.

Another thing I did, is I lived like a hobo with $150K per year income. Saved everything. I still don't have TV and couch. My living room is literally empty. Only desk with a computer and a chair.

When you jump AM fulltime, you'll need this cash buffer, believe me.

PS. Having a family is not an excuse for not doing the above.

PPS. Hire full time VA in Philippines for $300 per month. Delegate all research.
