Email Marketing - What's your checklist?

I'm curious if anyone would be willing to share their internal checklist they follow prior to delivering a mass email marketing campaign.

There are lots of suggestions in this email forum such as dkim, spf and ensuring that the IP is warm and no blacklists in the domain, but I was curious if anyone had a practical checklist of things they do prior to a send (ie where do you check your domain blacklists, where do you test your creative, how do you check the spf records are set-up properly).

There seems to be a lot of theoretical advice, but curious if any email marketing professionals would be willing to share their in-practice checklist as well. Thanks!

I send my emails to a test list first, comprised of gmail, hotmail and yahoo (exactly the same way I would send to my normal campaigns).

My current process is based around these videos (not mine):

Step 1 — Get email headers
Gmail—https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpB2GCYkHhc
Hotmail—https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRhg0VBO6ts
Yahoo—https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgacsJdIYb8

Step 2 — Check Backend

Step 3 — Check Reputation

Step 4 — Check Content

Before sending your email campaigns it is important to follow the following steps:
1)Verify your email ids to make sure that they are valid.
2)Have a good subject and content for your email campaign which is free from spam words.
3)Warm up your IP's before actually sending the full volume of emails to maintain your IP reputation.
4)Make sure you include an unsubscribe link in your campaign if you do not have opt-in lists.

Adding to the tips above

- Have a clear call to action button. The spammier it looks, the more clicks it will attract. Needs to big and flashy.
- Don't work with only images. A lot of ISP will block the images of unknown senders until the users clicks to load the images. Have a good ratio of text vs image (50/50)
- Make sure your email creative doesn't weigh more than 50KB
- Make sure you send a test email to your gmail.com, yahoo.com and hotmail.com email addresses. See how it looks.
- Always A/B test subject lines/email creatives on a small volume (10-20K addresses) before picking a 'winner' and shooting that to your entire base
- After the shooting: keep track of OR, CTR, CR, eCPM. Put this in an excel for all your campaigns and start comparing them one to another.
- If you make at least 2x your sending costs with a shoot, reschedule it every 30 days until its ROI drops
