Does anyone actually uses FB as a traffic source for low payout offers?

Hi folks,

I'm currently trying to master FB as a traffic source as I felt that the quality of the traffic as well as the targeting available is quite good (although it seems to be more costly compared to other traffic sources).

Recently I took up an offer for antivirus installation and when setting up a campaign on FB for that offer, I noticed that the suggested bid price is $0.39 (for clicks - including when someone clicks "likes") and the suggested bid 1,000 impression is around $0.90..

The payout for that offer is $0.58 per CPI which is just slightly higher than the bid price per click, making it seems very difficult to generate positive ROI from FB traffic, especially when it seems that many people like to click "likes" on the ad without actually installing the app...

Just wanted to ask if anyone has been able to make profit on lower payout offers (below $1?) using FB as a traffic source and if so, is there any key strateggy that you implement to make it profitable (if you don't mind sharing )

Thanks!
Will

I know a guy spending 20k per day and running offer that pays 26 cents payout. He is one in a million kind of genius advertiser though that doesnt use the cookie cutter angles everyone else does though.
