Creative weight? (3)

Creative weight?

Hello,

I am using Go2Mobi for my campaigns. Creatives have a weight starting at 100. I was reading Go2Mobi's optimization tips and they suggest increasing the weight.

I was unable to find an explanation about weight and at what increments to adjust the weight.

If anyone has insight, it would be great. I will also ask my Go2Mobi account manager Monday morning and provided feedback here.

Regards,

Bobby

Just for some context, the optimization tips should mention that you want to increase the weight of your most successful banners. The idea is that you can continue to test new variations without destroying your campaign's profitability.

There is no hard-and-fast rule for changing weights on your creatives. There's a bunch of factors that come into play: stage of your campaign (testing, optimizing, scaling), banner performance, total volume of your campaign, among others. As a general principle, you will want to (obviously) have higher weight on your most successful creatives, and ensure that the weight of your new creatives (ie those with a lower weight) will still collect enough data to determine if they have acceptable performance. I would probably opt for allocating half of the traffic to your top banner, with the other half being spread among the banners you are just starting to test. For example, if you have 3 creatives (2 test and 1 top performer), you would give 100 weight to the top performer, and 50 weight to the other 2. If you had 11 creatives, it would be 100 for the top performer, then 10 for each of the new test banners.

Just my take. Everyone has their own methods, but that's along the lines of what I would recommend.
