What is the best Laptop to use for Affiliate Marketing? (10)

Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy a new laptop and so I thought I would ask STM's opinion on what is the best laptop to use for affiliate marketing?
I've used windows all my life, but in the last 6 months or so, i've been using a macbook air. So I have a pretty good feel for both operating systems.
So I wanted to ask you guys, what is the best laptop to use for AM, and for what reason? And is their a specific type of computer you would recommend and why? Budget is not an issue, I just want your opinion on what is the BEST computer for this type of work?

Macbook Pro 15"

I am a Windows convert. Windows degrades over time, as you use it, and after a while you have to do a clean OS reinstall. So far with Mac, I have been running this for a year, and no degradation issues. I also believe the UI is cleaner with Mac OS. I look forward to using my Macbook Pro every day.

So that's my suggestion.

AM isn't a very demanding profession for computers, at least software/hardware-wise.

The basic requirements for AM are Photoshop and a solid internet connection. There are more programs and items that you might use here and there, but they do not require anything more specific or advanced from a computer.

If you insist on a factor to look at computers for, having something reliable would be the most important. AM's already have enough on their plate to take care of, they do not need a computer that breaks down on them to make matters more chaotic.

Mac's are great for reliability- I have had one since 2011 and it still works great without any breakdowns or hiccups. However, I'm sure that many other hardware options nowadays are closing the reliability gap.

At the end of the day, don't stress about it too much. Just get what you are most comfortable with using/navigating and you will be fine.

I have to agree, been Windows for 10yrs, switched to Macbook Pro 3yrs ago and never ever going back!

You need something easy to use, reliable and that just works as it's supposed to, the new Macbook Pro 13" is all that, and super slim, for some $1300 you can't go wrong

PS : obviously you need an SSD main hdd, that's a life changer.

Macbook Air 13 - that's all I need to work from everywhere. Speed is extremely high - despite that config is basic. Photoshop + Chrome + Words + Parallels (Windows emulator) = all in same time without problems or sluggishness.

If you travel quite a bit and have a second huge monitor to use when you are home, I would suggest going for the 13" screen size rather than the 15. Its just so easy to handle while you travel and work on a plane, and its lighter. Plus you have the bigger screen when you are home anyways.

Same here, came from 20 years on Windows to Macbook Air 13'', can't recommend any better. Light, fast, you can start working in 10 seconds

i have used and still using both Windows and Mac - results are basically the same for me,

yes Mac has more style the Windows and most of the time works a bit faster but at the end of the day you have forgot to mention what are you planing to do with your Laptop.

if its just log to the different platform and work on campaigns then buy yourself a cheap and reliable laptop .
if you plan to work on creating creatives - banners / videos / LP's you will need a stronger Laptop that will be able to deliver best performance.
