I tried promoting an affiliate offer which pays a lead of up to $1.00 for job search site using facebook advertising but they declined it as the pop-up says the website may go against their policies and regulations. For anyone else who has tried facebook, how do you get around this as I don't want to cloak and then they'll probably ban my account if I did this.
Anyhow it seems like facebook are definitely getting stricter when it comes to affiliates promotion services on the platform. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

when you say they declined it because "the pop-up says the websites may go against their policies and regulations" what does that mean exactly?
There are most likely two options
1. They just don't like that kind of offer (most jobs/bizop offers were banned there years ago)
Solution: You should try a different kind of offer
2. They don't like something very specific about the offer (like a CNN logo or testimonials)
Solution: See if there is another version of the affiliate offer landing page that doesn't include the logos, testimonials or whatever they don't like.
Several offers are including multiple versions of their pages now to help with this. They have versions with/without exit pops, with/without disclosures, etc.

Well I'm going for a fashion sweepstakes offer that pays around 0.95 for each lead. I'm just wondering if a URL shortener service would help me to get past facebook regulations as it's an ecommerce offer. Also I did want to know how do you spy on your competition if your using facebook to promote offers as the spy tool doesn't work for facebook. How do you research to see what's working or isn't and to see what other affiliates are doing using the facebook platform.
