even though it's not much, looking at this data i've arrived at the following conclusions: Lp is better than DL, artwork converts better than ingame screenshots (which got blown out of the water by my winning creatives)

What do you think? do you think this is a campaign worth pursuing? what should my next move be? should i be split testing headlines and landing pages or would you try splitting up my 2 segments even more?

I know absolutely nothing about this product or this audience. However, I would probably want to know what triggers the conversion. Is it when they click on the "Play Online" button, or is there more actions involved.

it's a SOI gaming offer.

How many impression did you get so far on this campaign ?

It seems like a good CTR. Not surprised the awesome manga creas beats the ugly game screenshots ;-) (taken from too far away, nothing really standing-out but maybe it's just how the game look)

Will follow you !!

2021 Impressions so far. every in-game screenshot are getting bad CTR on my ads, so i will be trying to down-size the in-game image on my landing page - to the point where you don't notice it's uglyness, and split test it. I will also be spending some time in Photoshop creating some artwork tweaking to see how good, i can get my CTR. I am also having a feeling that maybe my audience just isn't gamers. Why? well, i'm getting an awful lot of likes and very few website clicks, which i think might suggest that the majority of the audience appreciates the idea, but just aren't into online gaming. this have lead me to the conclusion that i should be split-testing a segment with anime fans that are console gamers or something like that.

SOI gaming offer? you mean they only have to submit an email address? sign up? and u haven't had a single conversion yet? was the 400 you already spent just on this offer?

why did you choose this offer?

06-20-2015 12:33 PM #9 jaxi1234 (Member)

Working on landing page right now - thanks for the gif idea!. It's a standard game sign up page. i chose this offer because it's a very targeted niche game. The 400 was not spent on this offer. The offer can be found on multiple networks - i'm gonna split test networks aswell.

Yeah and since all bleach fans know Ichigo and the villainous Aizen you should probably include that in the copy.

What ad objective are you using? Are you doing fan page post ads instead of website clicks?
I would do both news feed website clicks and RHS. Try to use "Sign up" as CTA button in ad copy. Test DL as well as LP.

I am sure, this campaign will work for you

Yeah I remember Zeno saying that as an example, targeting Star Wars fans for the Star Wars online game was a bad idea as probably 95% of Star Wars fan don't care about gaming.

In your case I would expect a higher percentage of Manga fans to be gamers but that's maybe not enough.

Yeah fact is most readers/watchers of Bleach read other mangas and or watch the anime versions like Naruto, One Piece etc. Look around on sites like Mangahelpers.com for angle ideas.

When I did display buys on anime type sites, promoting anime style games, I found that the anime audience is one of the toughest out there to convert.

Target people who like various Bleach characters as well.

Look into forums where people have voted for their favourite characters and use that information to your advantage. Test specific character images + ad copy, you could even try targeting just those character-related interests.

Use the fact the Bleach Anime has ended as an emotional hook.

Use keywords specific to the anime in ad copy, e.g. character names (Ichigo, Hitsugaya, Aizen, Yoruichi, Byakuka, etc.), Bankai, shunpo, hadou, etc.

Use pictures of Hadou + corresponding words in ad copy (http://dawnoftheespada.forumotions.net/t23-list-of-hado). Some often used ones are:

Hadou #4: Byakurai (often used by Byakuya)
Hadou #31: Shakkahō (often used by Renji)
Hadou #33: Sōkatsui (often used by Rukia)

Use animations of these on your landing page or giant images/wallpaper (they should look good - remember the audience you are dealing with) to be consistent and further connect with the audience.

Try using a quiz/survey that asks people who the better/stronger character is. This kind of question always flares up the passion in anime-fans and gamers, comic fans, etc.

Lastly, you can do much better with the images - not just in connecting with the audience, but in looking better/cooler, standing out from the news feed, etc. Try for example:

There you go. Awesome stuff Zeno. One other idea is -> Nel Many nice girl characters in bleach. Target males and use them up on landers and ad image.

06-23-2015 02:54 PM #17 zeno (Administrator)

Oh, one other thing I forgot - your target market. Gamers who like anime. Hint: there are plenty of anime-inspired games out there that people play. If someone plays a Naruto-based PS3 game... or a one of the many Dragonball Z games... then they may be the right demographic for converting.

In the end you just have to test test test.

P.S. for awesome wallpapers there was a site called AnimePaper.net where you could submit wallpapers, revise them on feedback, and even submit manga scans and vectors that users had to pay to download. It was the shit. The DeviantArt of the anime world. Then it shut down without warning. Thankfully I had saved every wallpaper from there that I liked, and many vectors. If you want good anime-focused walls/art, scout around for torrents with 'animepaper' in the names.

Those look very nice Zeno.

Jaxi, I felt like your creatives are a bit too "noisy" (im talking about the ones with many characters in them).

This brings back memories, Bleach was also my first campaign ever. Here are some of the creatives I used and had success with
