The inevitable happened yesterday.
My GetResponse was booted mid-launch. Over the last week I added about 50K subs to my account from email affiliates mailing to my lander. GR didnt like this one bit and told me they are closing my account due to high spam complaints and suspecting I used a script to add emails using my opt-in form.
I knew this was a risk so made a lead export list every hour or so and set up an emergency account at Aweber, so could switch over in 30 minuters or so.
Now the main problem is, I have a list of about 85K subs but nowhere to go with them. Worst of all I was #1 in an affiliate competition quickly dropping to #7 soon after my tracking links got blocked ($10k down the drain).
I would really appreciate your suggestions on where to go with this list. My industry is Binary Options which doesnt make it any easier I guess.
I wouldn't be against setting up my mail server, but am an absolute NOOB on mailservers, warming up IPs, etc etc.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!
I can probably help you solve this permanently by providing a stable mailing platform and a way to obfuscate your links so they never get blocked.
- Do you know what your spam complaint rate is?
- How much volume do you send out per day?
- Do you send unsolicited emails, or are the lists 100% opt-in? (do not lie to me)
- How often do you email the lists?
- What geo are the emails from?
Hey MCR! Thanks for the reply mate.
My normal complaint rate is <0.1%. But whenever we do a launch it gets a little higher since theres a huge influx of leads. I'm currently around 100k subs on my main list.
During a launch we email the list twice a day. But this only in the first couple of days after they just opted in. They are all emails like "Activate your account now". After this they go to the affiliate list and I email them once a day, 5 days a week. So volume wise I'm trying to send out 100k mails a day.
Haha.. I would never lie to you! My list is 100% optin. I have optin date, IP everything. Single optin that is, but optin nonetheless.
Geos are literally all over the place. From US to Nigeria to Uzbekistan. Main chunk of subs are US / UK.
By the way, currently uploaded my list on ActiveCampaign, so far so good.
Ok, glad it's resolved. If you run into problems again, pm me and we'll talk about setting you up on a mailing server with very high deliverability.
Hi MCR, would like to recommend some hosting (IPS) for email server, thank you.
