Taboola + Voluum Setup

Guys

Anyone know exactly how to setup Voluum for Taboola?

According to them they automatically add tracking code to the url after user clicks. Macros are:
Pub Macro
utm_medium={site}
Title Macro
utm_title={title}
Thumbnail Macro
utm_thumbnail={thumbnail}

So under traffic source / advanced in Voluum, I've entered above macros. (not sure if needed to enter into voluum if they are automatically entered by the traffic source? )
Then, when I click 'variables' in voluum they are listed there as site, title, thumbnail (v1, v2, v3 respectively), however it only lists it as {site} instead of listing all the sites individually...

Anyone know the correct set-up here?

Your Taboola traffic source set up is correct with Voluum. However, since Taboola automatically appends the tracking code to the URL, you need to remove the tracking code from your Voluum link. Otherwise, you will end up with duplicate parameters in your URL.

This is what is happening to your URL.

hxxp://xxxx.xxxxxxxx.com/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx?utm_medium={site}&utm_title={title}&u tm_thumbnail={thumbnail}&utm_medium=SomeSite&utm_t itle=SomeTitle&utm_thumbnail=SomeThumbnail

Voluum is going to pick the first parameter it finds, so that is why you are seeing {site} being reported instead of the actual referring site.

When you generate your tracking link in Voluum for Taboola it looks like this:

hxxp://xxxx.xxxxxxxx.com/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx?utm_medium={site}&utm_title={title}&u tm_thumbnail={thumbnail}

Instead remove the parameters and use this part of the URL in your Taboola campaign.

hxxp://xxxx.xxxxxxxx.com/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

When Taboola appends the tracking info, your link will look like this, and you should see the correct data being reported.

hxxp://xxxx.xxxxxxxx.com/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx?utm_medium=SomeSite&utm_title=SomeTit le&utm_thumbnail=SomeThumbnail

Can you post a screenshot of your setup on Voluum mate ?
I'm about to add Taboola to it too, would be a great help.

With a bit of trial and error Ive answered my own questions...

In case it helps anyone else in future here's what I have:

Voluum/Taboola Parameter Settings:

Click image for larger version.

Name:	tabolla.png
Views:	139
Size:	39.6 KB
ID:	8528

Make sure that in Taboola Edit Campaigns you populate the optional field with the tracking parameters ie:

Click image for larger version.

Name:	taboola_campaign.png
Views:	106
Size:	13.4 KB
ID:	8529

Then make sure you follow harbors advice above in terms of stripping out the parameters from your Voluum link (allowing taboola to insert them for you).

Finally, Taboola cannot currently provide cost data
