I want to create a PPV campaign on ZeroPark and target specific big sites. I thought I'd create a Target type PPV campaign but I was told "I think you are trying to add domains not targets. If you want to target www.something.com do this on an keyword campaign on broad term."
I'm confused now. Why can't I use specific domains with a Target type campaign? Can you clearly explain the difference between Target type and Keyword type?
Thank you!
Targets({target}) on zeropark is a unique identification for the source of traffic which allows you to optimize your campaigns. Say you have some decent conversions on a RON or Keyword campaign you can go back and get the "Targets" from your tracker and make a new winning campaign with just your converting targets.
What you want to do is set a keyword campaign and use the site urls that you wish to target and use the tokens they give to track and optimize. Don't get confused because they use the word target the same way as 50onred or other PPV networks do,
But does Targe mean a domain or specific page on a domain? Why can't I add a domain as a target first?
So if I want to target www.somedomain.com I'd add www.somedomain.com as a broad keyword?
You need to use Keyword campaign & I normally use broad. A Target that zeropark passes back when you use the variable ({target}) in your tracker looks something like this "alpha-big-S0ZeFhZa". You enter alpha-big-S0ZeFhZa in the Target campaigns as this is the target code for the traffic\site ID. You can't put domain names in in a Target campaign.
