Sticking with Zeropark & Sweeps until I make it!

Hi guys,

So after a lot of jumping around both on offers and mobile traffic sources I decided I need to get my shit together and stick with one thing!
My goal for the next few months is to get (at least) break-even so I can go to Bangkok meet you guys!
So for this clean start I've chosen German sweeps for a couple of reasons: (1) they convert well (or so I'm told); (2) they are easy to find (most networks have a shit ton of german sweeps offers).

My biggest problem with these types of offers was getting a fast and cheap translator, but fortunately already found one somewhere on the interwebs.

So now I have 16 different landers with different angles gathering some data, most of them are "proven" landers scrapped from spy tools or that I found on other follow alongs (of course I made my own copy, just kept the design).

Stats from yesterday (Day 1):
Traffic: Zeropark (pop traffic)
Offer: Apple products sweeps (pays $1.6)
Geo: DE
Spend: ~ $20
Visits: 34,394
Clicks: 27
Conversions: 1
CTR: 0,08%
CR: 3,7%
ROI: -92.68%

Some questions:
- Is this CTR normal? I've seen people with 30% CTR on popups. I know I'm testing a lot of landers, but not sure about this CTR.

- My strategy for now is letting run on RON and not blacklist any placements so I can see what the best landers + angles are. After having that figured then I would start blacklisting placements. Is this a good strategy? Or should I cut placements that aren't clicking even before having a good angle?

The people with double digit CTR's are most likely using trapping scripts (redirecting the user when they click the back button). 0.08% seems unusually low though.

Thanks stridone. My best lander has a 0.17% CTR which also doesn't sound great.
I'll try adding some back button redirect scripts and also confirm before closing, should help a bit.

Still seems very low. Are you using some of the Facebook style landers? And are you sure your translations/loading times are alright? If so, you might want to start blacklisting placements with ridiculously low CTRs.

Your CTR is too low even without back redirect. Without any script, an average lander should have about 3-4%.

Thanks guys. I also thought about the translation accuracy, so tomorrow I'll split test with another (more expensive) translations I have.
Yes, I have facebook themed landers, whatsapp themed landers, quizes, ... all the standard sweeps landers and some more.

@nickaffi thanks for the numbers, wasn't sure what numbers to expect.

Anyway once I fix the landers and blacklist the worst targets it should be a good campaign, it's converting relatively well (I think).

Will update in a couple of hours with today stats.

Stats Day 2:
Spend: $14,89
Visits: 38,698
Clicks: 39
Conversions: 3
CTR: 0,1%
CR: 7,69%
ROI: -71%

Not much change on CTR cause I didn't change any landers, but today I'll add 5 or 6 landers with the same design and copy, but from another translator. Lets see if that's the problem.

Quick question:

Sometimes my bid on Zeropark gets to second or first and all my daily budget gets spent in minutes. Anything I can do besides checking bids constantly? Is there a way to spread my budget over the day?

I don't see ZP has any feature like that. But did you check out the Frequency filters? I often use 24h when testing instead of 1h as default.
