every campaign below 200$ is hard to take conclusions but its not a good start you are taking here;
keep it going for 50$ more but then i'd stop the campaign or entirely shift the media buying to other sources

Hey mate. I'd suggest getting banners done that actually tells someone about the benefit of using voonik. A quick look and I noticed it's an online shopping app targeting women with personal fashion. Make your ads and angles around the issues, advantages women generally have like body size and finding suitable clothes or even comparing themselves with idols, celebrities etc.

It seems like you are using the Mobile Cookbook approach? In that case, I think there are solid guidelines in there for how much to spend, when to keep adding banners, when to abandon a campaign, etc. I'd say follow the guidelines in there and keep searching the forums to learn from what others have done. I've seen TONS of Mobile Cookbook follow-along campaigns using Decisive for app installs with banner ads.

At least you are seeing a pretty good CTR! By custom banners, do you mean that you created them yourself? If so, I think those are heading in a good direction. I agree with pain2k that the first set of banners were too vague.

For this question too, I think you can find TONS of information in the forum already, no? I only did a quick search, but here's one post that I found:

http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...oluum+decisive

I don't use Decisive myself, so I can't speak to how to set it up.

yes i created custom banner, since the banner from the network too generic.

Remember to add the Decisive blacklist as well to cut down shit placements from the start.

Ok its time for Update :

Today June 17 :

Cost : $11
Revenue : $0.90 (2 Conversion)
Net/Profit: -$10.1

What to do :
1. Balcklist the other banner except the converted one.
2. Create new banner variation from the converted one.
3. Increase the daily budget. since the traffic is getting slow.
4. Apply to new network

If you are you using The Mobile Cookbook approach, did you allow your campaign to reach $15 spend before cutting banners? Here's what it says in the Appetizer approach:

No matter how much you might be tempted to cut banners, add new ones, or do anything else with your campaigns, resist the urge until they've reached $15 spend.
Here is another great guide on cutting banners:

Revenue : $4.5 (10 Conversion)
Net/Profit: -$95.5

1. Find another offer
2. Create new banner
3. Try use LP

Did those conversions all happen in a cluster? Single banner, single placement, single wifi/app/carrier/site combo?

Just knowing that the campaign generated some conversions isn't really enough information to optimise from - you need to drill down a bit.

Hope that helps!

06-19-2015 11:24 AM #16 acepowermarketing (AMC Alumnus)

maybe you can try to get ideas from spying on others work? and using theirs as a comparison to see the success of your own work?

naomi from adsimilis is great, she responses quickly and resolves issues very well. we are very happy to have her =D

im about to do that, hope there is luck in different offer.

if you test 10-20 offers from different networks im sure you will find some luck =D

right now i stick to one TS and 2 offers, and i hope i can learn and get something from the data.

UPDATE Yesterday 21: (first offer)
Cost : $20
Revenue : $0.90 (2 Conversion : 1 with LP and 1 DL)
Net/Profitt: -$19.10

Second Offer (PIN Submit)
B]Cost[/B] : $12
Revenue : $0
Net/Profitt: -$12

Now im running 2 offers at the time,

i decide to continue my first offer and get more data, i think there is a chance to get profit in this offer after analyze the data. just create new banners and 2 LP, and do test with DL and LP.

my second (new) offer is PIN Submit and the geo is Poland and UK, still no conversion yet. i decide not to use the LP at this time based on Charles Ngo blog, to do the test first, after there is a chance (good conversion) then optimize with LP. (cmiiw)

i learn a lot.

I think this type of campaign would work better on social based platform like Facebook. It works well for stuff like Teespring because of the laser-targeting available.

06-22-2015 03:24 PM #21 caurmen (Administrator)

Do be aware: offers are the most important element of your campaign. If you've not got the killer offer, everything else is very unlikely to come together.

I'd recommend being open to testing a lot of offers and geos initially whilst you figure out what works.

However, obviously, do make sure to test thoroughly and spend enough to tell if the offer's actually working!

06-23-2015 05:44 AM #22 illank86 (Member)

UPDATE Yesterday 22: (first offer)
Cost : $75.7
Revenue : $0.90 (2 Conversion )
Net/Profitt: -$74.8

Second Offer (PIN Submit)

Cost : $80.5
Revenue : $0
Net/Profitt: -$80.5

spent about $150...

When did you have this traffic problem and with what bids/budgets?

Decisive had some issues in the past weekend with their traffic sources. They might not be completely fixed yet either.

Even when it's fine though, make sure you:
a) have budget for the campaign set to unlimited
b) have enough money in the account (>$50 I think is fine, below they start throttling, someone correct me on this one)
c) bid high enough; there are many placements that need a high bid to be sampled. Although not all are worth it, if you have traffic issues, try bidding higher and cutting the expensive but non-converting places.i I never got SmartCPM to work well for me FWIW, so I bid flat CPM.

Decisive is very unpredictable overall. What I do is I contact support for any small anomaly to see if it's something that happens all the time or it's some other issue and see if it can be fixed. I can seem like quite a pest , but it's my money being spent there, so I think as long as I'm polite and focus on the problems, not the support people, I can bring up any problems.

i have this issue right now, even i use Manual CPM and bid higher, Unlimited budget, still have enough money $350, but i get slow traffic. maybe i will try to cut some placements.

OK, email support about it and talk to them. They should know best. Like I said, there was technical issue for some of the exchange partners and maybe it's not fixed yet.
