Question About PPV with Trafficvance (8)

Question About PPV with Trafficvance

There are a few things that are still not clear to me about URL targeting on Trafficvance.

1. If I bid on a homepage URL, will my ad pop for people that land on inner pages?

2. There seems to be a 62 character limit with Trafficvance. But many of my inner-page URLs have more than this. So for example, if I want to target this url (assuming it's too long):

targetdomain.com/xyz/1234567890

Should I just bid on the target below?

targetdomain.com/xyz/

I tried using the wildcard but the system didn't accept it >> targetdomain.com/xyz/*

Can anyone clear this up for me?

Appreciate it...

1. The URL you enter will pop up once they keyword that you are bidding on is being entered by the end user (and given that you win the bid of course)
2. I haven't had this problem yet but maybe you can use a URL shortener like bitly?

I also wrote an article on PPV that you can find here in STM: http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...on-PPV-traffic
Get in touch with me via skype if you still want to know more or share some knowledge. Cheers!

Hangman.. Yes root URL will pop on any page on that website.

Using paths like domain.com/xyz will narrow it down to only that section or page.

You can also use just paths without root URL to cover any website with the phrase..

For example /health-insurance will pop on any site page with this as a path in url.

^^ That's what I was hoping. Thanks...

TV really doesn't have much traffic for longtail URL's though

The only networks I have found that do are Lead Impact and 50onRed

Yea I'm realizing that. Everyone says TV has the most traffic but I'm having a hard time finding it without going too broad.

I certainly would not say TV has the MOST traffic, but traditionally it has had the best converting traffic (though that is not the case for me anymore)

Yeah but you need to keep a close eye on the trash that 50onred send you for long tails..
As much as you specify domain.com/xyz .. adding the "domain" tracking tag quickly shows you it means nothing, and you need to blacklist unwanted domains or use .domain.com/xyz
