Zeropark: How to get more adult carrier traffic?

I am trying to run campaigns on ZP targeting UK adult carrier traffic. I have a ppv keyword campaign and a domain keyword. I've used ZPs top keywords. Set traffic to UK. Carrier only. Bid up to #3 rank.

Got 13 clicks. Not sure what's wrong.

My ZP AM tells me the problem is that it is hard to classify traffic by carrier and the databases are not available yet. I am told to target both wifi and carrier. I think the AM means well, but probably doesn't know what they are talking about since Voluum does this with ease.

I don't really want wifi traffic, so I am trying higher bids to see if the problem is that the publishers are demanding a higher RPM for mobile carrier. I have now set the campaign to be 2 cents higher than the top bid to see if it's a pricing thing.

Any insights into how to get more carrier traffic on ZP?

Update:

I've increased my bid on the adult domain carrier traffic to $0.17 and got 65 clicks.

I tried opening the adult pop campaign to all mobile and bid for #1 position and gotten only 135 clicks.

I really don't know why I can't get any meaningful adult mobile traffic from Zeropark.

If anyone from ZP is around I'd love to know what to do differently.

Hey poolhall,

I got the exact same problem. Even when I'm bid #1, no traffic for me!

Can't quite understand why. Zeropark keeps telling me to raise the bid.

I figured out some things about this. The key piece of information is that the price on the volume tool for traffic and the traffic volume have no relationship to each other. The traffic volume is the amount of traffic ZP saw at auction. The bid amount is the average of the ZP advertiser's bid, regardless of the win rate. So you could see, 100,000 available redirects and an average bid of $0.01. The thing you don't know is if the ZP bids got 1,000 or 10,000 or 100,000 clicks.

Same thing applies to the "top bid". That top bid is only for ZP bidders, not for all bidders. That means you can bid above the top bidder and still not get much traffic.

You only know if the ZP bid is competitive if you are winning a good share of the target.

The only thing I have figured out is to try some very high bids for short periods to see if more clicks come through.
