Hello,
I am running a ClickDealer offer. The link from my landing page to the offer in Google Play Store was working fine all day. But I just checked it and the link is now sending users to other offers.
I pinged my account manager.
Do you guys recommend pausing the offer until I can reach my account manager? Or what advice can you provide for this type of situation?
Thanks
Hi Sucess1,
I advice to pause to offer until you've heard from your AM to prevent any loss.
It's morning now in the US so i guess he will online soon.
Could it be that you hit a cap or an expiration date? Cake will automatically re-direct an offer if that's the case.
Thanks yepmoney. I ended up pausing the campaign.
I am unsure if the issues you mentioned are the problem. I had only been running the offer for a five hours or so. I am still waiting for a response from my AM.
Also: Are you either navigating from the same geo (US) or using a VPN otherwise? I've forgotten to set my VPN to the target geo before checking an offer link more often than I care to admit...
Amy
It's an Android offer in the US. I am using my Android phone in San Francisco to check it. I spoke to my account manager, and she said that I am the only person who has complained about this. She said that she can't pinpoint the issue. She asked sales. She will try to have an answer for me by Monday.
Pretty bizarre. Sounds like a one off. I hope that the issue can be resolved. I already paid a developer to set up my landing page, tracking and design efforts.
The same app is available in multiple GEOs under another offer. I wanted to test it out, but I decided to wait to see if they can fix the current problem.
Have you ever heard of anything like this before?
Wow - that IS odd!
Sounds like all you can do is wait for Clickdealer to do some detective work on their end to find out what's going on.
In the meantime - if you like - you could PM me your affiliate link - I could double-check it for you using my Samsung Galaxy via HMA.
Amy
Thank you for your help. Amy. Just sent the PM.
Replied.
I once had this and at a later stage when I have a lawyer I am gonna sue the advertisers ass if I can.
Here is what happened. It was an antivirus offer and the advertiser changed the landing page without any warning. I was direct linking at that time and ExoClick's scanners didnt like the new landing page and they terminated my account. I got a refund, but I lost all the traffic from Exo.
This might not be the issue in your case, but advertisers changing their landing pages without warning publishers is not cool. They make a big deal when we test landing pages without their approval, so this is just like that.
Not sure if we can do something about it, but this is really frustrating. I hope you get yours fixed mate.
