Bing & Christian Dating

Starting up my first follow along here on STM.

Network: Above All Offers
Offer: Christian Dating
Payout: $4.00
Traffic Source: Bing
Tracking Solution:Voluum

I have no idea how to perform keyword research for PPC just yet so my current method is just to select a root keyword and get some suggestions via Ubersuggest. I then take those suggestions plug them into Bing and set my bids to $0.20 (All my keyword are using the broad match modifier). I currently have one ad and i'm direct linking to my offer. I haven't set up my tracking URL on Voluum yet because i'm still awaiting the ad to be approved from Bing. Once I start seeing some traffic i'll swap out the destination url with my tracking one. I've also made slight adjustments to the campaign such as restricting certain devices and age groups. I'm currently only targeting the US and I have disabled keyword variations feature.

p.s Let me know if there's anymore information I should include with my follow along.

*note* Please excuse my grammar and punctuation. English is my first language however inner city public schools didn't work to well for me... LOL

oh if you swap urls you will get your account banned in no time.
You need proper cloaking for bing or some less shady website (bing is less strict with websites)

Actually I've always been doing it. I did end up having my account banned but only until I called them and explained to them what I was doing. After our talk they haven't given me any problems. The reason I do this is because when I try doing it during the campaign creation it gives that error that the campaign has to be created first before setting up url's using tokens.

No impressions so far. Going to raise my bid slightly to see if that helps bring in some traffic.

I've added a few more keywords. I'm now getting traffic. Only 2 impressions so far.

It's now 3:15 PM EST still no traffic other than the previous two impressions (These were probably Bing checking things). Going to add more keywords and increase bid amount.

stop raising bids and adding keywords. your account/campaign is under review, it usually takes bing 12-36 hours to approve/reject it. unlike adword it does not let you know they are reviewing it.

Hey thank you. I'll just let it be. How can I actually tell its finished being reviewed? I've ran a few other campaigns and never waited this long to receive traffic?

Status update: 6-14-15

Ended the day with 46 impressions 1 click and no conversions. My quality score is horrible. The expected click through rate is average. I think this stems from having keywords that are little to no relevance to my ad. Going to go through and remove keywords that are of little relevance.

Okay here I am back with an update. Sorry its a bit late but better late than never. After thoroughly examining my keywords I removed the ones I felt were not relevant to my ad. Honest to say after doing this my quality score dramatically improved on a few of my keywords. I'm talking from 6/10 to 8/10. I have still have quite a bit of 7's out there but i'm going to run with it. As far as traffic goes I paused my campaign all day yesterday due to me feeling under the weather. Starting it back up today and see what I can achieve.

You might try the Bing Ads Intelligence tool for Excel to get an idea of what's working for your niche. It's pretty powerful.
