I searched around and couldn't find too much information on setting up Traffic Vance as a traffic source in
My question:
Does anyone know the "placeholders" and associated "parameters" I should use in
I'm also assuming that I don't need to add anything in terms of Postback URL in Voluum for Traffic Vance as the conversions will be tracked on the Voluum and affiliate network side. Is that a safe assumption?
If someone could reply with a screenshot perhaps of how their Voluum affiliate network is set-up for Traffic Vance that would be huge.
Hey buddy,
I believe Traffic Vance is one of the predefined traffic sources on

You should then have the following tokens already placed to track cid and keyword...

I'm unsure of whether they have a cost token. When
Thanks so much for your reply, Ruby Tunes.
It looks like they have added the cost token in the form of {bid}
Just to complete the circle of this question, on the affiliate side, how do I know which parameter/placeholder will align with the subid slots in Cake Marketing (ie &c1=&c2=&c3=)?
Intuition would tell me I should add the offer as this: ie &c1={token}&c2={bid}&c3={keyword} which would match the tokens added in Traffic Vance.
However, when I add the offer none of those parameters/placeholders that were used in the Traffic Source set-up appear as available tokens on the offer side (see screenshot).
What am I missing, and how should I set-up the offer (&c1=&c2=&c3=) with the available url tokens for offers?
Thanks again.
Sorry for the late response!
You're almost there.
What happens is when the {keyword} value is passed from the source into volume, it is stored in "Custom Variable 1" as per my screenshot above.
When setting up the offer link, you only need to include the values which you want to be visible on your network reports page. For me these are usually just the clickID and the campaignID.
So in your offer link you would then have &c1={clickid}&c2={campaign.id}
If you also want to pass the keyword back to your network you would also include c3={var1} as {var1} relates to your custom variable 1
Hope this makes sense!
Yes, Ruby Tunes. Makes complete sense. Thank you!
My confusion was tied to a false-notion that the {keyword} token needed to be passed to the affiliate network to track conversions for this variable. I realized that's not necessarily the case.
Thanks again.
Right, yeah that's what
All you need is to give ClickID to your network and once they fire the pixel with the clickID in it,
Glad to help!
