Banner optimization tool - Feedback wanted (8)
Hello everyone!
We are a Swedish-based team of guys and girls with background in the affiliate world and as programmers and statisticians.
During the last two years we have been developing and successfully using a tool to create and automatically test our banners, in the same way we have used and tested LP's with products like LPoptimizer and Optimizely. Recently, we have worked with two of Swedens largest companies in the gambling and media industries and tested our tool on their online advertising with great results.
We have now started the development on making this product available for affiliates. As we now are getting ready to launch the product this summer, and since it is mainly built to help affiliates, we would like to get your opinions on this. What features would you want? Do you think there is anything missing in the list below?
The tool will be called Perfectbanner and, basically, it will allow you to create and host your banners as well as automatically test, track and analyze your banners using advanced statistical methods. More specifically, these are some of the features that the tool will contain:
- Build your HTML5 banners in our WYSIWYG banner creation tool. The creator will allow for fast and easy creation of tons of banner variations.
- Upload and edit existing banners
- Download the banners you have created in different formats
- Automatically test and track the success of your banners using A/B and multivariate testing
- Extremely fast ad serving
- Continuous optimization of your set of ads with automatic pausing of poor performing ads.
- Track what matters to you, e.g. clicks, conversions, signups etc
- Analyze your tests, banners, media, campaigns, brands and your improvement.
- All testing and analyzing is backed up by advanced statistical algorithms.
Please give us your opinions, thoughts and questions regarding our product! For example: what integration possibilities do you find important? What other features do you want?

Before starting LPOptimizer I was very close to start something like this as an upgrade for CrazyCTR. There is demand for a tool like this, but I don't suggest targeting affiliates, try instead to go for large advertising companies, like bannerflow.com is doing.
If you want stable recurring revenue you need to sell to media agencies, advertising companies or super affiliates, otherwise the churn will be huge. I'm not saying don't sell at all to affiliates, just make sure your target market are the bigger players so you can have a steady and predictable cashflow.

I've seen this tool in action in a few different cases and the results it can give you is quite astonishing. Especially if you run stable banner campaigns that last a decent chunk of time, private buys or any ad network where you can use your own adserving, this is fucking straight up gold
