Clickbank vendor doubts
I just stumbled upon short article from 2011 http://www.linktrackr.com/blog/shock...out-clickbank/ that araised me some doubts. I'm a fresh new vendor on clickbank, my product is finished and my site has been accepted. I'm working on the tools, info and other things that my affilaites will need so I'm digging out whole internet. I wrote a guide how to start with clickbank where I say things like "it's easy to get started and make serious money' - and that's the problem. I've just send an offer to few bloggers (who have surely no idea about clickbank) including this guide and I'm afraid that if they decide to become my affiliate then I will have to tell them also these 'shocking facts' and it will probably make me look untrustworthy.
My question is - am I unnecessarily panicking and these 'shocking facts' are easy to overcome even for the newbie CB affiliates?
Btw. these rules are up to date and there are quite a lot of negative comments about CB. I'm not sure if I did good to promote my product on CB...and advices for my situation?
Regards

There's nothing 'shocking' about it. These are just their terms and it's been like this for years.
1. You Need To Make At Least 5 Sales to Get Paid
You will never get paid if you make one or two sales. In fact, you need to make at least 5 sales (best case scenario) to actually get paid the first time.
According to ClickBank:
ClickBank will withhold payment of any account balance until the following criteria is met:
Sales made with 5 or more different credit card numbers; and,
Sales made with two different payment methods (either Visa, MasterCard, PayPal or European Direct Debit(ELV)). Note: PayPal purchases do not count toward the minimum 5 different credit card numbers.
Wow, 5 sales. This is not an issue at all and it's not like the whole internet pays with paypal only or something. Point it out to your affiliates that this is merely a part of their payment terms. If they want to make money, they'll have to do a lot more than 5 sales anyway.
2. There’s a “Dormant” Fee Up to $100 a Month
Yes, if you do not make any new commissions, ClickBank will penalize you for it. Deductions start at $1 per “Pay Period” which is every two weeks in ClickBank.
Well.. not making a single sale in 90 days actually is shocking and you should be penalized for it because you're not worthy anyway.
And what that guy did with his JV account is shockingly stupid.
What your affiliates really should be worried about is stuff like their trustworthiness / quality score. Too many charge backs = suspended account and no payment.
edit: This is not the kind of blog you should be reading anyway.. look at the retarded comments and understand his audience.
