Hi guys,
Glad to have joined the forum. I have experience in Ecommerce, SEO and have done PPV before in college. I am back now and looking to get back into the swing of things. That said, one question.
One thing that has always made me wonder is, when do I use my own landing page vs direct linking? I'd love it if some of you shared insight as to when to use custom landing pages.
In the past, I would create an opt-in landing page, once the user opts-in, the user is directed to the affiliate offer but not sure if it was the right move.
Thanks!
Hey buddy, welcome to STM
This question can be answered one of two ways... One: an educated guess. Two: stats.
Direct linking can be useful to quickly test an offers' performance without having to set up landing pages.
I've usually found LP's to increase conversion rate as you can really sell the viewer before the offer page. But it's really up to the stats if a direct link will work better than your landing page. If you're unsure it'd be best to test both at the same time
An opt-in page can make it harder to get the conversion on the offer page as you've already got the user to opt in once. A second time they may not be so keen. But on the other hand you can build an email list.... Pros and cons!
