I know they were examples but your examples could get you in a lot of trouble... You cannot sell the trademarks for obvious reasons unless obviously they are from the team and with it being on aliexpress by the looks then they won't be and the shirts are obviously replica, bit of hot water you'd be in if they caught up with you.

It's good to jump on trends though for sure just be careful

all the products in Aliexress and similar are legit products,

obviously when an authentic shirt of FC barcelona cost average of 80.00 euro and the shirt in Aliexpress cost average of $20.00 you know its a replica.
but the target audience is whats important here.
you wont target Rich audience or Spain for the sake of the example but rather audience that would like to buy those replicas in countries such as Brazil and similair.

I can tell you for a fact that this angle made me some nice income during the last world cup in Brazil.

I was aiming towards the Argentina team products and it was like betting on the winning team the more Argentina headed to the final the more sales i had.

as long as you are inline with the offers restrictions you are on the safe side.

A lot of Aliexpress' products aint at all . Replicas the way they are made are not legit. You cannot copy a shirt and say its replica, they are 100% the same using the same sponsors, club badges the lot! Not allowed.

I agree however trend based marketing is good and fun at the same time

I strongly disagree with you on the Not Allowed.
Aliexpress part of one of the biggest companies in the world (Alibaba) is a public company and will not risk selling illegal products in any of their properties.

walking along the Ramblas and in the markets in Barcelona you can find a LOT of stores selling replicas of the FC-Barca merchandise, i don't think they got arrested for doing so.
As long as you are not misleading the users by promise them authentic merchandise you can feel free to promote the products from well known sites such as Aliexpress.

the debate if its moral to sell these type of products is a hole different story which i think any one here can decide on his own. I know that there is a lot of money in this angle and it definitely works.

Mate you can't sell a shirt with a club badge or sponsor on without permission it's as simple as that. You can have badges and sponsors that look similar maybe but can't copy it

Haha, just saw this thread!

I'm a huge Barça fan myself, and though I don't advertise their jerseys or anything, I still made $1300 betting $100 on the exact 3-1 result

Sorry for the hors sujet ^^

and that's exactly what it is

read my last post and you will see that we agree on that issue. but to say its not allowed to sell these products is just not true.
